The only thing I'd say in defence of Tuchel and the players is that they're supposed to be having a break, so who could blame them if they're not playing with much intensity

If it stays this way, where would this rank in terms of England's worst ever performances?

We're basically beating a ski resort 1-0 with 10 minutes to go

Even the fans there don't seem to give a flying feck. Just enjoying the 'trip'. Nice city tbf. If it stays like this, I think the players will give a slightly embarrassed clap, and slink off.

Keeper standing on the ball in the 84th minute, wasting time, as they're only 1 down. Says it all.

The people who travel all over the world to watch this crap are either the most insane or committed people ever.

Just giving it back to the keeper or putting it out for a goal kick every time.

Terrible.

Itv blaming the opposition and it will be better against Senegal.

I'm doubting our ability to qualify at the moment. We're certainly going to be nowhere near winning it.

Tuchel is the first England manager in history to win his first 3 games without conceding a goal!!!

Fucking boring though.

Imagine the reaction if Southgate was still manager…

Fair to Tuchel for calling out the performance for what it was: shite. His early report card is not looking good.

The silver lining is that these games are mostly a formality so there’s not much to read into atm and certainly no need for knee jerking. Worryingly, we play our highest ranked opponent in Senegal on Tuesday before the World Cup.

I can’t imagine any England managers have had an easier starting 3 games in Albania, Latvia and Andorra.

Too right, it was shite.

Absolutely their current world rankings are:

Albania - 66th
Latvia - 138th
Andorra - 174th

It would be criminal not to win every game without conceding a goal.

1-0 against players playing in tier 5 of the Spanish league

I can see it now. Tuchel bombs next summer, we go out in the groups.

Lampard has just led us back to the prem with a 2nd place finish.

Lampard off to England, Never manages us in the prem.

Which isn’t even a national league. In Spain, only the top 2 or 3 leagues are national leagues. The rest are split into regions. Context here is that Spain is a bigger country and has more autonomous regions, but still.

Tuchel hasn't exactly managed to un-boring England straight away. If you weren't English you wouldn't root for this team, would you?

I was regularly assured that any other manager could get a tune out of this golden generation of players.

People need to be careful what they wish for.

Spain have done better under a ‘Spanish Southgate’ than they did under elite manager Luis Enrique. The international game is different.

Tuchel has my backing, 100%. The bar is set incredibly high for him to surpass Southgate.

Nothing matters until World Cup time. Even then things don’t get serious until the group stages are done.

The constant overreaction to games where we achieve our goal is tedious. Worst ever performance ffs.

Yeah, agree. It wasn't that bad. It was just stodgy and sub-par and really boring to watch.

I did find the team selection rather strange though.

This reminded me a lot of Steve McClaren’s side that got booed off against Andorra in 2007…even that team won 3-0.

Looking at Spain, Portugal, france and Germany over the last few days ..

England are probably around the 5th best side in the world atm .

Argentina , Spain, france and Portugal above us
