Rashford and Henderson back

First call ups for Dan Burn and Lewis-Skelly

Other than that no real surprises

Would like to have seen Gibbs White and Jarrad Branthwaite in in my humble opinion

Very surprised to learn the poster in question here was Thomas Tuchel

Well i'd be shocked if an injured Mainoo was in the squad.

Sorry your "gotcha" wasn't all it could of been, try again later.

Conor Gallagher probably deserves to be in the squad?

Jordan Henderson in but no Adam Wharton or Morgan Gibbs-White, shocking really.

I get Henderson's inclusion given how few leaders we have but not keen on it as he's a morally bankrupt d*ckhead. Having a squad without either of those two is a bit mad, though.

Glad Rashford is slowly turning his career around. Looks like he's been good for Villa recently from what limited highlights I've seen

I don't get the Henderson inclusion at all. Maddison seems to be out of favour as well. Think he's third or fourth top English scorer in the PL.

Not really a very inspiring start to a new era!

Thomas Südtor with a pretty unambitious selection.

That's a "Back to the Future" squad.

If we don't win, he's opened himself up for some serious criticism.

It looks like he wants experienced heads in the team.

I'm surprised at Walker and Henderson, but to be honest I'm unsure as how he's doing since he's moved to Ajax.

Tuchel is a pragmatist.

I'm a little disappointed to see Walker and Hendo in there but maybe he's trying to maintain the dressing room balance.

From his press conference you can see that his strategy will be small tweaks to try and finally get us over the line - evolution not revolution.

I’m sure Spain felt that before going into last summer’s Euros.

More attacking intent in one sentence than in Southgate’s entire reign

Henderson has to be one of the most over-hated players of his generation

Not arguing he isn't past his best but he captained Liverpool to about every gong possible under Klopp, still plays for one of Europe's major clubs

With our distinct lack of a great holding midfielders other than Rice it’s not hard to see why he is back involved for me

Unfortunately, that sums up a lot of Southgate's regime to be honest. A bit too cautious, when we had a great attacking line-up.

We're constantly on the front foot, they're 95% 11 behind the ball, were 1-0 up.
What's the problem?

Just half asleep tbh, been a bit flat and not much in the way of attacks on goal. Should be at least peppering the goal vs these.

At least Tuchel is openly saying there wasn't enough energy or runs off the ball. I guess it'll take a while to drum it into them

There’s a massive need for reform to the international qualifying process. We’re not getting anything out of playing teams like Albania who just want to sit back and defend with 11 people all game. The question is more often ‘how much will we win by’ as opposed to ‘will we win’.

We playing Serbia, Albania, Andorra and Latvia to qualify… is anyone interested in those games? I’ll be going to most of the games but frankly, it’s for the caps so I can get tickets for the World Cup.

The Nations League pyramid should be the basis of UEFA’s qualification to major tournaments. One of the fundamental reasons the international break is ridiculed is because there’s not enough games that are exciting. I wanna England play Germany, France, Portugal, Spain and so on.

There’s a real possibility that our highest ranked opponents between now and the World Cup will be Senegal. How can Tuchel figure out how to beat the elite teams when we’re playing such mid-level teams?
