Leicester are reportedly throwing around 6m+ bids north of the border.

Seems to me with Leicester's recent history that football has gone completely barmy.

If it all fails for Leicester will they soon be staring at admin again?
If so the penalty for such mismanagement MUST be ten fold from the previous more recent occasion. To act like they are now with no guarantee of promotion is ludicrous and they must pay the price if they gamble wrong.

SISU are the worst owners we have ever known but something tells me this boom and bust attitude shown by others is not what I would want for our football club.

SISU are being sensible - but when did sense have anything to do with football.

If they wanted to promote the business they'd buy the ground and concentrate on promotion - its the only way to get their money back - instead I expect them to use the club as a tax write off.

The owners of Leicester are willing currently to sustain the spending.

The only problem Leicester face will be when (and if) the new financial rules are introduced.

"SISU are being sensible - but when did sense have anything to do with football."

Exactly. From a business perspective, they are doing the right thing in trying to make the club a viable business.

Unfortunately, their motives for doing so are not in the interests of CCFC, rather their own interests.

Being objective though, it is hard to criticise SISU. Most of their critics just want them to spend more and more money in the transfer market

However, the consequences from a footballing perspective will be damaging and lasting

Most critics just want them to go.WHAT could possibly be more damaging and lasting than their tenure

It's Sven. He's a shopaholic!
Everywhere he goes he just has to keep spending.
Lazio, Man City (with that Thai guy), Notts County (didn't end up that well for them) and now leicester.
The guy needs therapy to break his addiction to spending other people's money!

....a decade in the Championship already so more damaging would be a decade in the 3rd and 4th tier, no?

But referring to other posts you have made on GMK Tommy.............It is your belief that the damage of relegation could easily amount to £4 million, now no one is advocating spending anywhere near that to make us competitive, but you know the truth as we all do, they are recouping every penny possible while spouting bullshit about 'trying hard to make signings'. They are taking us to hell and they couldn't care less.

I don't think Leicester will go up so hopefully they will be in trouble next year. With SISU I don't mind some cost cuts cutting the dead weight and the fringe players or even some of the less important first teamers, what I do mind is them flogging all our best players for any price and showing no desire to actually want to stay in this league.

Well SISU's "strategy" is to carry on cutting costs until we only have the youth team. We won't be in L2 with that approach, we'll be in non-league.

We're keeping the youth team, thank heavens for that, I thought we were going to be down to the cleaning ladies & ticket office staff.

Well that's always been my logic, Ash. Not can we afford to buy players but can we afford not to. The cost of relegation surely amounts to a much bigger hit on the finances.

Christ, £6M north of the border? 147 new players for them then.
