Trust say they have had a very encouraging meeting with the Wasps owner.

Richardson says he sees CCFC as a partner rather than a tenant.

Richardson said on Tuesday he was immediately going to contact Steve Waggot.

Wasps will only have one best interest at heart and that's Wasps.

Yep, already been reported, sat down with Waggott. Richardson remarked about it afterwards, something along the lines of... Mr Waggott will have his own views but I thought it was a positive meeting. Read that how you will.

And exactly the same for Sisu and we've had nothing but their self interest for 7 years.

This comment about being a partner would sound like a lie if it turns out they have the power to veto the club getting 50% and they use that power....

How can CCFC be a ''partner'' of RFC Franchise? Corporate BS. He's also told Wasps fans the move will give them all the 365 revenue. If Wasps get all the money (and they do) and CCFC pay them rent (which they will) then it's the sort of ''partnership'' Prince Charles has with his valet.

To be fair, he obviously doesn't mean they will be a partner, but just wants them to feel like they are.

That's the way I read it anyway.

The club have said they benefit from food and beverage sales on match days, are you saying that Wasps have ripped up the contract?

Where have they said this then?

The telegraph were saying no F+B when we came back but we get more advertising revenue from the Ricoh than we did before .

The statement in full:

Sky Blue Trust Meet Wasps

On Thursday representatives of the Sky Blue Trust held highly productive, open and informative talks with Nick Eastwood, the Chief Executive of Wasps. Wasps are now owners of 50% of Ricoh leaseholders ACL and hope to shortly complete a deal for the remaining shares currently owned by the Alan Edward Higgs charity. A wide range of topics were discussed, the Trust listened to the plans for the Arena and ACL’s prospective relationships with CCFC and CRFC with interest and quizzed him about some of the issues that our members had highlighted as concerns. Nick pointed out that they had already begun talks with both clubs and wanted to build good, long term and mutually beneficial relationships with both. He said they hoped to have CCFC at the Ricoh on a long term basis and well beyond the current 2+2 year deal that was currently in place and that would be honoured. He said he viewed their prospective relationship more as a partnership rather than simply landlord and tenant, a successful Sky Blues was as important to them as to all of us.

When asked about the pitch Nick said that they expected there to be no problems with the playing surface as it was always designed for multi-purpose use and with the football club having primacy the football would take place before the rugby, with CCFC playing on Saturdays and Wasps the following day. In the unlikely event that it should prove to be problematic and if there was a commitment from the football club that they were staying long term then ACL would look at the feasibility of a new playing surface. On the subject of the seats staying Sky Blue he said there were no plans to change this. They wanted this to remain the home of the football club, notwithstanding the estimated cost of replacing the seats would be in the region of £500k, money that could be invested much more usefully elsewhere at the Ricoh.
Nick stated several times that he and ACL wished to work with CCFC and the fans to improve the match day experience and was more than happy to work with the Trust on this. Overall it was a very encouraging meeting and hopefully CCFC can form a good working relationship with the new owners of ACL and ensure a bright, successful, long term future for the Sky Blues at the Ricoh Arena.

Fisher said it at the SCG.

Commercial deal for club is good. Mr Robinson and ACL want us to be a platinum client and get value out of this. Secondly we need to look at pricing because average F&B spend is less than £2 per person on matchday and also encourage fans to use the concourse.

I wonder if Wasps are planning/willing to meet CCFC supporters? Address some concerns, potential of future shared ownership etc.

Funny how they have been here less then a week and they have had a meeting with the trust.

The Trust couldn't get one with Sisu for love nor money, at least Wasps are listening to and answering our concerns.

It's just a Shame Sisu weren't like this from the beginning, they may have had a better relationship with their own fans.

tbf they had plenty to begin with. And also tbf if they'd cultivated that better, they'd have probably kept more, and been able to pretend to more for longer that they owned the club for altruistic reasons.

They should have also ditched Tim Fisher many moons ago. Whether you are anti Sisu or not, the bloke is a complete liability.

But is it Fisher that is a prick or is it the message that he is told to give by Joy? If it is the second part then whoever would take his place would do just the same.

Think he is probably just doing what he's told for the most part, but he's condesceding, patronising and smug.

And that's just his good points.

His PR skills are practically zero and just seemingly doesn't know how to comunicate properly with people at all.

In fact, he's a non people person.

Much as we say Ranson was the Strategy man for the first 3 years ,I'm personally convinced during and post Orange Ken he has been the Architect of strategy since then.

However I think Joy has been the Litigious element rather than him.

No challenge then about the Wasps deal from the Trust. Looks like they had their tummies tickled again. Thought the Trust were all about this community shit? Quite happy it seems to condone franchise sport....

Not sure that's possible.

A percentage scale only goes up to 100%. In spite of football foklore, you can't go past 100%

If you are starting at 100% there's no where else to go.

It seems no one has asked/challenged wasps about ccfc buying into the ricoh again (at least not publicly anyway). This is vital for our club.
