If the BBC is bankrupted, at least we’ll still have fearless journalists asking tough questions of foreign leaders

READ IN FULL: The full transcript from Bev Turner's interview with Donald Trump

The President sat down with Bev for GB News's US programme The Late Show Live
www.gbnews.com

The opening question was like something out of Frost/Nixon:

I've spent a little while in America now, and I've been really struck by the sense of positivity here. That can-do attitude is really in contrast to the UK and more broadly, Europe actually, which feels like it's in the doldrums at the moment, economically, socially, really struggling. And that's been a long term project, I think. But you've proven that leaders don't just have to sit around writing strongly worded letters. You can actually get stuff done in a short space of time. How have you done it?

You have ironically stated Great Leader Starmer should continue the strategy of sucking up to him and stroking his ego (and anything else) to keep him happy

I am not one to comment on this off topic forum, but as a part owner of the BBC and therefore have skin in the game, I want to have a say:
Trump is the devil or the saviour depending on your perspective and I am sure the lots of dirt is yet to be mined on this subject. Like Savile and his like these people hide in plain sight and get away with far more than his decent. We hold individuals to too high a standard and expect morals and ethics that is obviously not achievable to these people.
Trump is not British and nor was Epstein and I am hopeful that all will be revealed in good time by their own law enforcers. We can’t take too much of the moral high ground can we?
Andrew is different, he should be exposed both here and in the USA has the repugnant low life and the full force of the law take care of his crimes committed here and the Americans do likewise.
The BBC is and has been biased for a long time and has been exposed for more than bias. Its charter is breached and needs to be reset for it to survive With or without the license fee.
lessons need to be learned. Most are chancers who will gird their loins and feather their nests if there is a chance they will get away with it.

What is an example of being woke?
While there is no single agreed-upon definition of the term, it came to be primarily associated with ideas that involve identity and race and which are promoted by progressives, such as the notion of white privilege or slavery reparations.
From me
The BBC reporting and behaviour of its editorial and presenting staff that reflects the minority of views of its population.
Trans debate, boats, flags, social issues.

i am not the oracle and my views are those of an old man who is despairing at the direction of this great land.

Like having the likes of farage on giving his opinion far more often than his political backing warranted? Oh no, then it was to 'provide a balanced view' wasn't it...

The decades of poor governance by both key parties got us where we are today.

Immigration/Europe could have been managed far better. Yes, there was a conversation to be had. But I think we’d still be in Europe if Cameron had used his brain.

The electorate have has been let down time after time. I think we are weaker as a nation as we move further towards Reform Party politics.

Sadly, the demographics suggest this could happen. I wonder if Farage is as clean as Trump?

For many, many years he was massively overrepresented in debates and giving soundbites on the news. Arguably now he has got a larger amount of support he should have more airtime, as it's necessary to actually question him on policies rather than just letting him give soundbites.

And the few times it's happened it's been a disaster.

Or people just aren't paying attention.

When they hear the message they want then it's all fine, when they see their poster boy getting his arse handed to him in an interview they just ignore it and say it's bias.

Well when the chancellor changes the budget 3 times in a week and makes austerity type hints why would people care? Also Farage dictates the immigration narrative anyway.

I don’t think you have ever lived on a sink estate and are pretty clueless regarding how they are likely to think

So. The next question is does bubba refer to Bill Clinton or Ghislaine Maxwells horse.

Which leads on to a follow up question. Would you rather blow a horse but no one finds out about it or would you rather not blow a horse but everyone thinks you have
