His comments are pretty irrelevant - it’s the effectiveness of his negotiation his country will judge him on

???

You said a few days ago that ending the war would save the United States billions, and that any financial benefits flowing to the US economy might not have actually existed. Which is it?

What is that supposed to mean?

The USA wasn't saying Ukraine started the war a few weeks ago.

I just can't understand how you and others think this 'peace' deal is a good thing when the guy leading it is in bed with Putin.

Wow, you're naive. You probably think they joined WW2 because they're "our friends".

Can you please share where I've said a Trump-led peace deal is a good thing? Thanks.

They joined WW2 because they got directly attacked by Japan and Hitler declared war on them days after.

What?

You've been saying for months/years that a peace deal is the best outcome for Ukraine. I'm asking if you still think that is the case given Trump is leading it.

In an ideal world, of course not, it should have been done a while ago, like I said.

It’s obvious Ukraine didn’t start the invasion, it’s a shame it’s taken this long to get to talks though. Far too many innocent people have lost lives

I don’t get why your so angry about the possibility of peace, it’s odd

But that's not the question.

The question is do you still think it's the best outcome and the right thing to do?

The best outcome is the war being over and lives not being lost on both sides, not point scoring by you because you dislike trump

Because your guy is siding with the hostile invading war criminal and not the innocent party whose sovereign territory has been taken and whose women and children have been murdered. Why wouldn't that make me angry?

The country with one of the world’s largest militaries, which invades one of its European neighbours roughly once every six or seven years and is about to forge a favourable new trading partnership with the world’s largest economy has “zero capability” to invade anywhere else. You heard it here first!

Does Zelensky have this new intel? I know everyone is urging him to capitulate as quickly as possible - his war against an enemy with “zero capability” may be a tad more winnable than people are assuming.

Mikhail Gorbachev: a divisive figure loved abroad but loathed at home

Despite being celebrated across liberal democracies, the former Soviet leader was reviled and unpopular in Russia

Trump also saying Ukraine needs an election as Zelensky has a 4% approval rating.

Another line straight from the Kremlin.

To clarify, Zelensky does not have a 4% approval rating and it is indeed much higher than Trump's own approval rating, which is currently -1.4.
