Quite simple really, there will be more than 2 candidates but only 2 who can win.

In most places the result is given, hence the Nancy Pelosi glass of water comment:

So like all places you either make a protest vote, do not bother or hold your nose and pick one.

Now the Dems decided to go for one of the nastiest candidates they could find for some reason in Hillary and now they have someone who should clearly be in a OAP home, well unless you think the White House could be classified as such.

Most people I know, I was going to say all but have not had that conversation with everyone want another choice.

Amusingly Trump is an old fashioned New York Democrat, I am sure he would have stood as a D if that opportunity had been available.

Michelle has more sense, and Newsom? really slimy bastard and if I was standing against him I would hold all my events in San Fran.

There must be at the very least discussions happening behind the scenes. God knows why it was left until this stage though, everyone has been able to see there's issues for months

And on the other point, I am going to vote Labour, but if I found out Starmer said that same remark about women, as Trump, I wouldn't vote for him and would just go Independent, or Green.

Youre going to vote Labour.

How on earth can you come on here and lecture anybody about politics?

What you talking about?

We have to get the Tories out, because they have made such a mess of things.

The only other party that can actually get into power, is Labour.

I feel I have to vote Labour.

As I explained, our MP is a Tory and we have to get him out because he is useless. Even the Tory supporters here say that about him. They complain down here that they never, ever seen him.

And thirdly, when have I lectured people on here?

If I thought a good independent could get in here, I would vote for them.

Bottom line is, it's either Labour or Tory. They are the only two choices and after Boris cocked things up and lied and cheated and then Liz Truss nearly collapsed the economy, I have no other choice anyway.

I have no idea what you are talking about.

So to clarify, you're happy for Obama to be at risk of imprisonment for his drone strike of two American citizens.

You think that I have a ‘team’ here, I don’t. A crime is a crime and allowing anyone to be immune from prosecution is incredibly dangerous.

Trump for one should have been locked up for what he incited in Washington and for quite deliberately trying to manipulate the votes in Georgia.

As far as I can see this doesn't stop Trump being prosecuted, just delays it. If he wins the election however...

Well you've only got to wait a few days.
I'd be amazed if they don't give him a prison sentence on 11 July.

I can't see it, and surely even if they do there are 79 appeals to hear before he'd have to serve it?

So they've basically given Trump carte blanche to be a full on dictator if he's re-elected, safe in the knowledge he's immune from any prosecution?

How fantastically stupid this Supreme Court ruling is. Back to feeling smug about us Brits being a cut above intelligence wise I suppose..

It's an absolutely staggering verdict, and shows how Trump captured the Supreme Court under his tenure.

The President of the United States is now, in effect, above the law.

That said, notionally this opens the door for Biden to order Trump's assassination; as long as it's an official act he's in the clear.

Yes it is scary. Exactly what he needed to facilitate his stated aim of being dictator. As President he literally could order the execution of any opposition politicians free from prosecution.

Of course this is the danger of having lawyers as political appointments.

What the Dems seem to fail to realise or perhaps they are just realising is that having opened the Pandora's box this works both ways.

It has been mentioned that this protects Barry, and of course Old Joe. But not Hunter but I can see the old man pardoning him.

Donald Trump's sentencing in hush money case may be delayed

The ex-president's lawyers cite a new Supreme Court ruling that granted him partial immunity from prosecution.

Be shocked if it is overturned, a federal judge has already ruled he couldn't claim he was acting in his constitutional role as President which is all the Supreme Court ruled he had immunity for.

What makes the Supreme Court a farce is not just that the President picks new judges for it, but that they always, *always* seem to vote in line with politics. Surely, *surely* there are times when the law guides you away from that, regardless of where you stand politically?!?

So therefore, what does that say about trust in the law anyway, to avoid scenes like last tie out?
