I agree, but let's not pretend those who are against Trump base ot on some shallow politics of envy bollocks.
Everyone who stands for POTUS is extremely wealthy so you'll be backing a rich person whoever you're behind.

This is also true. Biden's performance however was frighteningly poor, probably the worst presidential debate from any candidate this century.

It's impossible to disagree.
and Trump is often incoherent but compared to Biden ther other night he was like Martin Luther King.
I still don't think Biden will stand aside, I hope I'm wrong.

Nonsense.
Trump was fact checked after the debate and every answer he gave was found to have contained a lie.
He was involved in an attempt to over throw democracy and he has felony convictions and a civil convictionfor rape.
He has also surrounded himself with numerous felons, Manafort, (look what he got charged with), Bannon, Cohen to name 3.

If you're OK with that, fine, but don't try and make out the objections to himare based on anything else.

Ok Clint, I'll bite.
We currently spend about 3 months of the year in the US. We hope ultimately to have dual citizenship.
If I were able to vote in November I'd vote for the right of centre option, just as I do in the UK.
So I'd vote Trump.

I'm sure an awful lot of people would vote for Andrew Tate too.

When I asked my US friend, in Houston, why, she just said "Americans are idiots."

She hates the way the country is going

Yeah my friend in Kentucky says the same.

Degrees of separation: The education divide in British politics - Social Market Foundation.

British politics since the 2016 Brexit referendum has been characterised by the emergence of a new divide, between graduates and school leavers. Education now has a stronger relationship with vote choice than any other demographic or economic variables other than age. This report, from leading...

It will need party grandees who he trusts to convince him-Obama himself might be the man to persuade him he needs to let someone else fight this election, not sure who else could do so.

Genuine Q: if he stepped down now would that not leave him open to the 25th as he’s admitting he’s not capable? I don’t think it does as he’s a capable president clearly but not a capable candidate, but I can see the argument.

That's not really a bite, you've just expressed your voting preference.
If you're OK with the things I've mentioned, or are prepared to overlook them, then great, but trying to make out they're not the reasons that those of us who don't like Trump don't like him and its because of some sort of envy because is nonsense.

Trump IS an idiot though, no matter which side of the divide you stand.
Wanting to inject people with bleach, asking if he could buy Greenland . Saying that you needed ID to go out and buy cereal, saying George Washington's army took over airports...
And that's not even touching the surface.

Nothing to do with whether you are right wing, or left wing, the guy is absolute basket case.

No, because he can withdraw from the Democrat nomination for whatever reason he likes. Officially that is done at the convention and he could cancel his re-election efforts at any point till then.

LBJ did so in the late 60s

I didn't say that though.
I said that there's a tendency to label people on the right idiots and bad.

I can fully see why anyone would detest Trump for any of a hundred reasons.

Looks like she's being widely tipped as the choice even though she's always been adamant she's not interested.

To be fair you don't say how far right of centre, but let's be honest, the centre isn't even viewable on the horizon from where Trump is.

Biden is right of centre. It's just the US is inherently a right-wing country, certainly in economic terms.

Trump would have you believe that the Democrats are practically commies.

I don't know how anyone with half a sense of decency could vote for a anyone who said it's okay to grab a woman by the pussy and mocked a disabled reporter and called Mexicans "drug dealers, criminals and rapists."

Just that first comment should be more than enough itself.

Yeah.

And on the other point, I am going to vote Labour, but if I found out Starmer said that same remark about women, as Trump, I wouldn't vote for him and would just go Independent, or Green.

I thought he had changed his stance in the last year.

He was saying weird stuff last year, but seems to have moved position.

It's been a very fast moving, ever changing situation, on the trans/gender issue the last couple of years or so. Still trying to get my head round it myself, as is my missus.

And me
I am absolutely on the side of those people who wish to change their gender. Family and friends have found peace in doing so but there is clearly a place for nuance in sport and in women only spaces whilst not going back 40 years where white heterosexuals were the norm and everything else was and is abnormal
I’m not certain of how but it’s certainly not biological sex is what you are full stop it is so ignorant and nasty and mean
