Doesn't look to have any eggs on it in that picture though.

Maybe the council could put ccfc flags up on the ricoh roundabout for all the fans on Wembley day?

They don't have any say, I had a quick look at them yesterday and couldn't see if they were pad locked...

Do London Wasps own the island or the posts?

To be fair I'd go the Wasps victory parade, take a couple of dozen eggs with me.

It's all about building bridges.
If we want a parade then they will accommodate.
Personally up to now I'm not bothered but I would settle for a lap of honour at the Ricoh in recognition of the event. Although there would be more for the same at Wembley.
We can all argue the positives (building the stadium) and negatives (selling to Wasps) of the council actions but at the end of the day prolonging it helps no one.

Ha! Building bridges? They've used that statement in the past before and the words were very hollow.

They would know who it was though as you would be virtually alone.

Where would they hold it here Wycombe London or their next location

Actually I'm going to change from throwing eggs to throwing jam. Wasps fucking love jam so I could say I was doing it to honour them if I were told off.

Oh dear. I notice the council are on board if there's a chance of success but reluctant to associate themselves at other times...

I remember 30 years ago standing for hours in the rain waiting for the team to arrive at the council house. Would have been ok except that a drunken councillor was standing in the dry yelling into a microphone that we have to sing. He was a complete utter wanker. Lefty c**t swigging champagne bellowing orders to the masses - some things never change.

Not sure I understand the logic in this thread.
We are told to be realists, accept the level we're at etc, this competition reflects that.
While we haven't won it yet, the ' Club ', should definitely attempt to publicise /celebrate it.
Where is an interesting point, maybe something at the Butts would suffice but clearly those who've followed this season deserve to milk some enjoyment and maybe interact with the team.
Not saying I would be there but should we win it, acknowledgment is a must.

Celebrate of course, but open top bus is a bit far.

Could have some sort of open day, like they do with kids parties where players can mingle and fans can be a part of it.

That's kind of where I was going.
The Butts would fit the bill venue wise.

Prefer it to be Legends day or the last game at the Ricoh.
Perhaps hire the exhibition hall, put a group on and get the injured players/academy players to mingle with the crowd.

The fact it's considered newsworthy that the local council wants us to win at Wembley is an utter joke.

Fucking bastards know how to advertise, have seen it around a few times on my way home from work.
Thing is most wasp fans I know are going to Wembley some are ST holders.
It has to be worrying the more fans we lose due to this ownership will only give Wasps some more.
Would have thought a percentage would switch over?

So city fans at the council want us to win, definitely news worthy.

It should be a given that they want us to win at Wembley, not need an article about it in the paper.

It would have been more newsworthy if when the telegraph asked the question they said no.
But in reality it was a question they knew what the answer would be.

I have seen it a few times around but never made me want to buy a ticket, I had a city and Wasps fan moaning as he is going to watch them in Ireland and can't get back for Wembley I just laughed and said your bad choice.

He should have done both.
Never mind tell him to get in early for Murrayfield and Twickenham in May.

An open top parade for this trophy would confirm our tin pot status.

However with everyone so keen on mediation and cooperation, shouldn't this statement from the council be welcomed?

I agree on one point SBS - it IS tin pot, but we're not likely to compete for anything more glorious with the current regime and apathy.

I don't get the coucil suggesting this, seems a bit of a diversion....if they want to help, they need to get round the table on more important issues - like getting their insect chums to be more accommodating, or making sure there are no blocks on building sites, fantasy or not.

Wonder if the council will be on board for an open top bus in a couple of years time when we win the FA Vase

Why would he want to watch Leinster at Murrayfield and Exeter v Saracens at Twickenham?
