Could key Stevenage defender depart Lamex: Luther James Wildin emerges as Coventry target as Premier League seekers eye highly-rated Boro star

With the player out of contract at the end of June, the player would move on a free transfer, saving Coventry around £250,000

Oh what a summer it’s going to be……

Another couple of idiots. We don’t know if this rumour is true or not but here they are pre-judging, plenty of stars have come from lower leagues and non league, Jamie Vardy came from then non league Fleetwood and became the architect of the Leicester success story and you can say with his age and slow demise they haven’t replaced him.

Yeah, don't understand the negativity from those who I doubt have even seen him play.

Because everyone had heard of and / or rated O'Hare, Hamer, Vik, McNally, Doyle, Dabo, Allen, Fadz, Bidwell etc. Clubs that shop for Names rarely do well in this League. MR and co. keep finding players that improve the squad. If you don't trust them to keep doing that, why bother following the club and posting on here? Absolutely pathetic.

One thing for certain if either of these two aren’t thought to be good enough by Robins or Viveash they won’t sign them.

Difference being you are an anonymous nobody behind a keyboard and Dabo had to step up in front of a packed Wembley. You are normally not a bad poster but today you have been a total embarrassment

When you add in the Wealdstone Raider, there's obviously something in the water that makes them a certain way down there!

It’s a credible shout. Links to Nuneaton. Free transfer. Not a huge gamble.

Didn't you decide Tavares was rubbish before you'd seen him?

I said he needed to go out on loan to actually get some first team experience and aid his development.
He’ll be 23 this season and has never played regular first team football, it’s inevitable he’ll end up getting released once his contract is up.

Remember when we signed Dann and Fox in the Jan window from Walsall and everyone was in uproar…

Let's give them a chance before dismissing them or making jokes about how rubbish they are going to be.

Leicester, Leeds and Saints down. We need to enter Vulture mode and have a look for cheap, unwanted talent at those clubs.

If they're coming down aren't they going to be keeping those players as they'll be in the same league as us?

Players they'll be selling will be on huge wages.

Not for long. Leicester have 8 players out of contract. Not saying we could afford any of their wages but doesn't hurt to ask and enquire about them, and other out of contact players at Leeds and Saints.

Our Championship rivals will be doing the same.

I can't see Maddison, Vardy, Tilemans, Dewsbury Hall staying at Leicester. Same with Leeds and Southampton, their best players will want away.

Gyokeres has made it clear he wanted away if we didn't go up. People are talking as though Hamer will be on his way too. He too has shown he is ambitious but as far as I am aware he hasn't stated he wants to go. Has anyone heard differently?

But they're not going to be joining us are they? And that was the point the poster was making - we should be looking at who we could get off them.

Yes, but then you have to ask why would those players want to join us instead? Leicester et al will have bigger resources with the parachute payments and will be seen as the bigger club with the higher likelihood of achieving promotion, so chances are if Leicester etc, want to keep them they'll stay. If they don't want to keep them then the player is out of contract so why do we need to ask the club about them - they'll be free agents? And if they're releasing them because they can't afford to keep them then no chance will we be able to afford it.

If any players get released then maybe that might be different, but that's hardly a vulture circling - it's picking up a player the club don't want to retain.
