Smacks of another Stephen Hunt situation if true. I can't really remember him as a player to know if it is worth the risk or not.

cancel that

"I feel that I'm one of Chesterfield's own. I love the area and I'm settled here so hopefully I can finish my career here. It's a club that is very close to my heart and hopefully we can have some more success in the future"

Tony Hibbert was out injured 95% last season with a knee injury... cannot see how he's hot the legs to carry on at 35.

As for Ian Evatt... did no one see him play in our 2-0 this season... legs also gone.

FFS Hibbert and Evatt. How quickly we have forgotten the Henderson and Hunt of our world. To bring players in to our situation will be tough enough, never mind bringing in players that have lost the ability to run.

Yes it did fall a bit flat but I'm the only one who can't be wrong so far. If you'd like an explanation on what's making a joke and what is just straight up mocking someone because of their accent though I'd be happy to oblige.

I take it you've never seen Faulty Towers then? and more than anything I was laughing at the excuses. Have you rung yet? Probably not.

More knackered-out veterans, no thanks. I'd rather bring up the likes of Sayoud and give G.Thomas a spot, then get the bloody spine of the team sorted. Youth, experience and solidity, that'll be a sure-fire recipe for a team that can actually fucking compete.

What we need:

Sold: No one.

Out: Wright, McCann, Agyei, Page

Keep: Sterry

In:
Stokes returning from injury
2x CB's
2x CM (hard bastard required)
1/2x CF

What will happen:

Sold: Stevenson, Stokes, RCC

Out: Wright, McCann, Agyei, McBean

In:
Stevenson (loan)
Addai (promoted to second goalkeeper)
1x CB
1x CM
1x CF

I wonder how much of that will be right!

It will be astute loans as the only route to getting the quality we need to come here. An Adam Armstrong type unable to break into the side at his parent club but needs experience and guaranteed play time. Who is currently that player in the striker, midfield and defensive position?

If Slade can get Stokes back on to the pitch and up to speed, he will be the most important player we see come Jan. He is a player team has missed but in my opinion a player other teams will be looking at come summer if not sooner.

I'll be very disappointed if we sign hibbert and the likes. Once bitten twice shy and all that.

They're not getting a loan off me. Don't fancy 5 years of litigation when I want my money back.

I'll post up a picture of mine for you, all that New Year's Eve revelry and excess normally leads to a rather large movement on the 1st. Last year's was particularly impressive:

Time for seasoned pros to know when to lump the ball into row z and when to take lumps out of opposition players

Even if they have only played 20 games since the end of 2011–12?

Depends on what physical shape he's at and if he's still got a hunger to play and compete but If he manages 20 games this season and he's ready to play straight away on a small wage then it's got to be worth a gamble

I doubt he would be ready to play, he would need time first.
