most clubs will be hesitant because of his ACL , they notorious for breaking down after the riggers of a full season

I think we have to be looking at a wide player surely? Otherwise we’re an injury away from starting Palmer out wide every week which isn’t his natural position.

I don't necessarily agree with this.

Without wanting to get geeky on Tactics, in modern football a lot of advanced creative players now operate slightly wide of the central area (Think Foden and Bernardo Silva).

With defensive midfielders sitting deep and central there isn't the time or space for a lit of the traditional CAM types (I think it's actually why Maddison struggled to get a top move and England call ups etc).

Palmer operating slightly wider off the left, cutting in and operating in a space between the Right back, centre back and midfielder could be a great option.

He would then drag one of those players out of position and allow space for others, or would sit in space and allow him to create opportunity himself.

The bombing on winger, looking to beat the man with pace and put a cross in has largely gone away and I think fans still romanticise the idea that widemen need to be rapid crossing types.

In an ideal world you want both options. Using Man City as an example they signed Doku who is an out and out winger who cuts in from the touchline

Zidane was one of the greats , yet he often started on the left for France and Real Madrid but drifted into the center.

I’m aware of that.

But in our current run of form the two constants have been Wright and Sakamoto starting wide. Wright playing as a wide or inside forward, looking to cut in and shoot or get into the box for a scoring chance. Saka as more of a traditional winger, trying to beat his man and whip the ball in.

We’re not using a wide player in the way you talk about. So there would have to be a tactical shift, which may not work or Palmer has to play a role he has never done for the club.

Bringing someone in who is naturally a wide player seems obvious.

Signing for Brighton imminently, was rumoured to be going to Man City then loaned out to Leicester, probably given their relationship between Pep and Maresca

we have a good relationship with Brighton, hopefully not soured by Ayari, and this guy can play LB / LM / LW, and looks pretty smart

assuming he’s not been bought to go straight into their first team, a cheeky half season loan suits all parties……

Brighton have been having to play Milner at LWB in recent weeks, Estupinan is back, but theres talks of him having to play at Centre back, so I imagine they'll be keeping hold of him

When it comes to Argentina Football and both current and prospects i know a lot about the players and that league. Let me tell you Valentin Barco is a step up from the Championship. If we managed to get him in on loan it would be a fantastic signing, Valentin's technical ability on the ball is already Premier League standard, he is quick and naturally gifted when it comes to reading the game. The only benefit he would gain from a move to the Championship would be to add some physicality to his game. Barco already is capable and by no means is he a Ayari, who was physically miles off the standard for this division and i am sure Blackburn will find that out soon. I would like to mention a few prospects for all of you to have a look at that are from Argentina. Pedro De La Vega, unbelievable talent on either wing this lad in my opinion if he doesn't suffer any bad injuries will go right to the top. Ezequiel Bullaude, playing for Feyenoord but currently loaned out to Boca Juniors. Bullaude is another real prospect with a small price tag and a player i would put at our current level in terms of his ability and our squad. Agustin Urzi, rapid, tricky and 9 times out of 10 will charge forward. This lad is 23 and is dirt cheap given his potential and i feel the coaches at our club could honestly develop this lad into a Premier League player. One more mention who is not from Argentina but is someone that is unknown playing in Ecuador is a player named Michael Carcelen. This lad is a defensive midfielder, quick strong and relatively good with the ball at his feet. Carcelen would cost around £500k and i am convinced he would do brilliant in the Championship.

Family member spent some time there a while back and since then i have always been a massive fan of the Argentinian players, from back in the day the likes of Claudio Lopez, Gustavo Lopez, Juan Pablo Sorin, Riquelme, Batistuta, Aimar, Crespo, Kily González and of course your Messi, Maradona and shed loads more players.Argentina produce the best Football Players on the planet and have done for a long time now. The one thing about the Argentine Primera Division is it's absolutely stacked with talented players, the league itself is a tough, passionate and aggressive league and 90% of the players are all technically gifted as well as being aggressive when needed. People think Brighton's model of signing younger talent from Argentina and other South Americans is a genius way of running a Football Club, it's actually the most obvious way of having somewhat success and making a mint. Serie A and La Liga clubs have been doing this for absolute years and now Premier League are operating this way. The Argentine players are built for English Football, the physical aspects of the English game is very similar to the Primera Division, what the Argentine players have on top of this is technical ability that stands out.
