On a website it mentions these rumours;

14 Jun 2011 19:23:12
coventry done deals
joe murphy
dani pacheco (on loan)
marlon harewood

almost done
mark fotheringham
chris dunn

Also mentions Earnshaw, Phillips, Sunday and Michael Kightly

I know these rumour websites are nothing to go by but if these were our transfers for this summer of be more than happy!

Hmmmmmmmm is all I'm saying to that. I thought Harewood signed for Notts County?

Kightly was a great player in this division when Wolves got promoted a couple of years back. Obviously don't believe it because some guy on the internet said it but it would be a great deal if we could get him on loan.

Also I doubt we'd get Dunn and Murphy, we only need one. And who's sunday?

Just googled him, I think I can remember signing a 'Sunny' on CM a couple of years back, turned out a decent player

Never seen him play irl, but if he turns out good there, he must be alright

Most football rumours are just lifted from unsubstantiated tittle tattle on forums such as this so they aren't worth the paper they are written on.

Also I doubt we'd get Dunn and Murphy said:
Its been reported in the telegraph that we are likely to sign both keepers, a move i think is understandable. Danny Ireland, if he signs, is unreliable fitness wise and we need 2 keepers in case of injury.

nothing more than tittle tattle

Apparently the club hasnt talked to Phillips and from what AT is quoted as saying in CT he thinks he would be too expensive

Fotheringham - AT in CT says he isnt interested

Dunn - been given until Monday to sign at current club

Will only believe a signing when the club announce it officially that he has put pen to paper..... rest is just guesswork

Thorn said he would sit down and talk to phillips which is good and his last 3 clubs have been midlands teams so maybe he'd wanna stay in the area.

Reading what AT said I am not sure he is really considering Phillips. He knows a lot of fans would like him here and he isnt ruling him out as such but seems to hedge his bets. But AT knows the budget he has been given and we dont so thats going to be a big factor.

“We haven’t spoken to Kevin but he’s a goalscorer isn’t he and he’s had a good career. I think you have to be really careful, with all due respect to him because of his age but he is someone who sticks the ball in the back of the net and that’s what we want."
“So we would have a chat with Kevin, that’s for sure. I am not saying that is the route we are going down but I’d be silly not to at least speak to him with his track record. If we went down that route it would be him and a younger one because I want young, hungry and ready to go players and that’s no sleight on Kevin Phillips because he is a terrific footballer and if we get the chance we will sit down with him."
“I am sure he’ll have a lot of offers and, financially, I am sure he’ll be on a lot of money, but he’s settled in the area so I’d love to have a chat with him, but everything has to be in perspective because I imagine he’s been earning fortunes.”

I do think however that, despite the transfer window not opening till 01/07 that a bit of positive news on the transfer front would go a long way with the fans just now.

We get linked with Sharpy every year, wouldn't mind CMS or Rhodes, but can't see it!

I find it hard to believe that we have broken the rules and signed a player on loan outside of the transfer or loan window...

Craig Mackail-Smith, (not a chance)
Billy Sharp, (ipswich had a £2million bid turned down, so that rules us out)
Iain Hume, (would command a transfer fee so not a chance)
Jordan Rhodes, (would command a transfer fee so not a chance)
Dean Bowditch (possibly but do we want him?)
