There’s a pic of him with hooped ear rings in and dyed white hair that gives off Dennis Rodman vibes.

If he's as batshit as Rodman we're in for a treat.

The world needs more sports people like him imo.

(just to clarify; not the sexual assault allegations! Just in reference to strange/oddball characters!)

Didn’t make a ton of sense anyway. Would rather spend a spare £3 million elsewhere on the pitch at this point.

I hope this guy signs, but surely we've learned on SBT over the years that there can be weeks and weeks of impenetrable smog without so much as a tiny spark.

Dovin took weeks to sign from the first report

Literally this.

I think he will play right back so Milan can play in an attacking position so KKH can play left back so Brau can play left forward.

We need more goals, not less. It would be v surprising to see Brau play LW come the start of the season.

Brau playing LW is v much in the same vein Howley played CB for a few preseason games in 2023 before we signed the CBs.

Eccles has a very limited ceiling. He's a hard-working player but he's not a great passer, finisher, tackler or chance creator. He's fine at some of them, but that's not enough.

Funny that Frank doesn't seem to agree with your analysis.

We definitely need a real aggressive hard tackling midfielder although it was not top priority by a long chalk if we are staying within our budget. Evidence, if it wasn't there before, that transfers are usually about the deal rather than a rigid list of priorities

Really like the look of him but as others have alluded doesn’t really feel it makes a lot of sense in that we need players in other positions more and need others to leave to generate a bit of cash. Maybe it will all shake out before window ends and we can front the cash in the meantime.

Why is it that just because we are (allegedly) looking ar another midfielder, that some how precludes us from recruiting in other areas of the squad that need attention?

Im sure there's lots of work being done to find a GK, CH or CF or whatever FL feels we need, but that isnt going to stop us picking up a bargain elsewhere if the opportunity presents itself.

Who knows what offers DK has had for our existing players, for all we know there may be a £6m+ offer on the table for Sheaf, or £4m for Eccles or Torp, we know F.A. since the kit man got himself sacked !

Yeah makes sense while we have 3 LBs and 1 LW to give them all 45 mins by playing Brau there. Personally though I'd be playing Brau at LB and JDS at LW so Brau can get used to the high-line and the expectations of him (which JDS already knows)

Won't be until the Betis/St. Pauli games that we really see what Lampard is thinking anyway - funnily enough there's a chance none of the LBs start against Hull

There's rumours flying around that this deal isnt as advanced as people are saying.

Because this one is going to cost money and we thought we had none left.

Like I said maybe we can front the cash and things will likely shake out over the window. Just seems a bit surprising.

Could just be that we've opened talks with Austin to see what a deal would be - but would only press forward with it if we actually shift someone (Sheaf, Eccles, Allen). Clubs do this all the time

What is worrying is that someone seems to have leaked it - meaning they're probably trying to drum up interest from elsewhere

Sorry but stopped reading here.

Football is a squad game. The same 11 players can't play every minute of every game. You need several other players that are just as good even with a side that doesn't suffer injuries. The football season is long and hard. Without these players you are weakened every time one of the 1st 11 go off. If we want to go up we need to become stronger.

They would get plenty of gametime. And very good players who want to win things are happy to have healthy competition.

Apparently there's no truth in this. Reported by an MLS USMST journalist.

I’m told that the club have slowed the process down so that the social media guy can still ask him how good it feels to finally get it done and what the welcome has been like from the lads.
