According to Kev Monks - may still be in place

This is exactly what I heard a few weeks ago - and have posted the same previously - not sure how we got round it with the new contracts, and what the rules are there

However, this time Kev I fear is right

You can't sign anyone, including free transfers, under a transfer embargo.

Is it time to revisit my Umbongo connection? Can't remember if it was on here CET. Actually on reflection it should probably stay in the archives

Respect to Kev Monks - but all this MP type phrases - 'may still', 'might be', could be etc - if your mum had balls she would be your dad !!!!. We need facts, facts and more facts.

Kev Monks' article is based on a fans ramblings sbs66. The fans blog is full of misinformation and errors. Starts with a "source close to the club" then gets worse. Apparently the Bank have lent the club the money (there is no bank) and SISU (who manage others not invest their own funds) cant put more money in because they made a loss - they havent put a penny in !! ever. All sorts of other stuff that is frankly misleading and lacking in understanding. Like it says rumours ..... all dressed up to look authentic. Not losing sleep of that article

The signing of Goalkeepers can happen under an embargo if you get special dispensation, but Players can't sign (or be offered) new Contracts. Seeing as all the players in their final year have been offered new contractsand Clarke, Cameron, Bell and McPake have already signed there it shows we cant still be under the same embargo.

Possibly under a new one since they signed their deals, but not the same one as before

If we were under the embargo why would we have bid for Lefonde on friday? and why would Thorn say on cwr that he was looking at bringing 1 or 2 in ?? I dont believe a thing Kev Monks says remember he put on his website that he sources had told him Shaun Wright-philips was coming on loan a few years back??
