I have been told by a person connected with the club , that we are again under a transfer embargo - The new contracts given this week, were to tighten the balance sheet, to try to resolve a better sale of the club, but due to the embargo there will be no more loans or purchases

In terms of validating this email, expect Juke to start up front tomorrow in front of a midfield 5, to counter the threat of leicester

I don't believe we are, I just believe our transfer budget is less then £250,000.

Of course they would have told us, but due to cut backs orange Ken has been busy marking out the pitch ready for tomorrow, so he's been to busy

Have we bid for Le Fondre? No-one official at the club has confirmed this. Mmm, still not sure we are under embargo though...we've had one un-named source so far.

Still, given the financial mess dominating the news over the past few days, the whole Western world should be under a bloody transfer embargo!

I hope we sign someone soon. #PUSB

He says players can't sign new deals if under embargo. So Kev Monks was right when he said that last season.

Fook all this anyway, even if we are under an embargo players haven't exactly been flooding through the Ricoh door lately, think we should talk about this after the festa game IMO

We are NOT a normal business. This football club means too much to people for some clowns to cut costs left and right until we find ourselves in League 1. Surely they can see that they'll never get the big crowds they need to break even whilst providing us with such a threadbare squad.

It's the 1st game of the season 2mor (obviously) and already we can't field a team without playing people out of position or using 17 year olds.

If we get spanked by Leicester it will all kick off tomorrow. I just wish our fans weren't so downtrodden through years of shit. Look at what Liverpool fans did when Hodgson was a bit shit; this is 100 times worse and City fans just swallow it!!!

Slightly disrespectful to fans of clubs in league 1 don't you think? Sheffield Wednesday and United are arguably more deserving of a place in the Championship given the passion their fans show as well as in the numbers that turn out. What division you are in isn't deigned by the footballing Gods who decide which fans deserve what. It's just luck and circumstance that decide it. Relegation might not be so bad for the club as it would probably force SISU, get rid of the bad practices in the club and get us on the right footing. It's not something I want to see happen to the club I've supported for all my life but I supported them when they've been successful and when they haven't been and I know that there will be much better times in the future and the club probably needs a shock to the system in order to sort itself out, but I think you're looking at the short term view (the next few games) rather what could happen over a full season or a couple of seasons, we've got no idea what SISU have got planned over that period of time, we might even be successful on the pitch which would bring back the fans who have left and make it a lot easier for the club financially.

However if you truly dislike the board, then don't go tomorrow, don't pay for any official merchandise and that's what would force them out. There are people on this forum who have been screaming for the board to sell up but have been putting money into their pockets. If you want the club to be successful this season then you need to not only go to every match but to bring as many people as possible, if the club was averaging 25,000+ attendances then we wouldn't be as financially strained simple.

How is it disrespectful to clubs in League 1 for me to not want us there? I didn't criticize League 1 or anyone in it...

Saying that relegation to League 1 could be good for us rings a bell... We all thought coming down to the Championship would be great fun - win loads of games, enjoy being big fish in a small pond and come back up. That worked out great

With all due respect I didn't think there was anyone left out there who still trusted SISU. The idea of me not attending simply won't happen. I can see your point but I feel i'm needed there to cheer the threadbare squad to survival. Each game from start to finish will be like a cup final to me - we've got 17 year olds and a team who came 18th (now lacking it's 2 best players and Gunnar) representing us thanks to SISU.

The only thing keeping me going right now is Brody's silence on Twitter for the past 2 weeks and the hope that it's because of a confidentiality agreement due to takeover talks.

Another bullshit rumour believed because it fits into the myth some have got going on here. There cannot be a transfer embargo genius we signed two of our players on extended contracts yesterday.

Don't stay away, do your bit towards making this club successful: but a ST, buy a programme, buy a shirt and sing your hearts out at the game. It's the only way we'll see things improve.

Do you really suggest that those who want SISU out don't go to the games? That would do too much damage to the club, and deprive the team of my support-and leave me feeling like I'd lost hope and given up. No way will that happen with me, or any other true Sky Blue. If you think that's an option, you don't understand...I love my club and the players. Hating the people who are mis-managing the financial side will never stop me from supporting the team on the pitch.

I admire the sentiment Shmee and if we all actually believed that our hard earned, if spent on ST, shirts etc, was actually going to be reinvested into the playing side of the club then maybe it would happen. However SISU OR SBS&L have driven such a wedge of distrust between themselves and the fans the first move is not going to come from the downtrodden supporters

Not calling you a liar, but telling us that Jutkiewicz will play as a lone striker wouldn't be a massive scoop to prove any sources when he's the only fit striker we actually have.

Hear say on a fans forum, which is on twitter and all in all has replaced pub talk, however its a lot more accessible to a lot more people, chances are Eakin Linnell etc saw tweets about it and put it towards Clouting.
