Transfer deals good business or bad mistakes? (1 Viewer)

If the defence is shored up, promotion is achieved and next years budget is enhanced to a promotion challenging one in part by the Maddison sale they will be seen as good business.

If the new additions don't help turn round the recent poor form and Maddison makes a Premiership splash next season they will be adjudged dismal failures.

Which of these scenarios is most accurate, were there better options, discuss.

If we do go up then any shortfall in the early sale of Maddison will be small compared to the increase in income next year. Personally I think its a no brainer as we'll have a decent sell on clause too and he would always have left at the end of the season.
