Bit of a reminder in history there and proof on what a shrewd manager Jimmy Hill was made profit on so many players we had got the best out of too, 10k profit on Willie Humphries, Allan Harris, and profits on crap players like Ken Keyworth, Graham Newton, £11k, big money then on Arthur Lightening who fucked off from Middlesbrough within a couple of months back to South Africa what did JH know about that prospect ? The only name from the departed list who went on to be a bit decent was Albert McCann, not a bad player for Pompey for a few years.

Isn't it nice to know that in 1967 we sold Ken Satchwell for £2250 to Nuneaton and 47 years later we couldn't afford to buy any player for that amount ??????:jerkit:

The "small fee" was initially £50 rising to £200 after making the first team.

I make that in total 59 players and there were probably bombed out without a fee. All those players, did he know what he was doing?

I wonder if David McNamee will come back to lead us to FA Cup glory in the next 20 years?
