Just a heads up to anyone travelling to Watford game by train through Birmingham. There don't appear to be any trains from New Street to Coventry but there is a replacement bus service. Not sure what is going on (HS2?)

Yes. It just seems to be between New Street & International. One of the alternatives to us was to get off at Stafford, Stafford to Rugby & then Rugby to Coventry. We normally get off at International & our friend who lives in Sheldon picks us up from there, we are getting off at New Street and getting the X1 bus to Sheldon.

I go from Manchester regularly to Stafford.
Stafford to Numeaton and then onto Coventry Arena.
It works well.

Strangely, we can’t get the normal fast trains from Milton Keynes at all. Had to book something and change at Rugby. Same on the return as well. Maybe it’s because we’re massive…..
