I stayed overnight after the checkatrade last year so not sure on travel times going back.

How long did it take to get back to Euston roughly and which was the better station to go back from - Wembley Park or Wembley Stadium?

Cheers - I have a room booked but I may have to go back after the game now erghhhhh.

Which one is that? Wembley Park is by the Premier Inn and WS is the other end and a closer walk I think if I remember.

About a ten minute walk west from the ground. Just off Wembley High Road

I've heard public transport in London is pretty poor and infrequent, You'd be better getting a taxi back to Cov mate.

Wembley Central is either 7 minutes or 21 to Euston depending on if you get the slow or fast train.

The number 18 bus also goes from Wembley Central to Euston, although it'll take an hour at that time and waiting for one is pretty awful as the traffic stops when the stadium empties. On the plus side, it is far less crowded.

The overground train from Wembley Central runs every 20 minutes on weekdays so the queue might be enormous.

Wembley Stadium might be quieter then I guess

I wouldn't worry about anywhere being quiet or not. Nowhere will be, just get stuck in.

An hour and a half wait last season after the Checkatrade final, but did have some great banter with the Oxford fans

We just stayed in the pub near the station and missed our train back from Euston. Walked straight on though. No rush to get home.

We got the Overground to Watford from Wembley Central and got the train from there. Wembley Central to Euston is less than 15 minutes. Takes longer from Wembley Park but it's closer to the stadium

Don't bother reading the article in the cov telegraph about train travel, talking about queues at Moor Street and a provides a link to the train timetable for Saturday.

Looks like a cut and paste from the Birmingham Mail.

This was after the game, was absolutely fine. We had a pint near the stadium and then walked to Wembley Central, it was relatively quiet on the Overground train.

Just a heads up for anyone who hasn't read this:

Football fans warning over train delays

"Customers travelling to Wembley over the weekend should be aware that queuing systems will be in place at Birmingham Moor Street, London Marylebone and Wembley Stadium stations, and there may be queues of 90 minutes or longer in both directions."

Not sure this applies at Cov. According to the network rail site all scheduled trains from cov are on schedule. The above seems to apply to people leaving from Birmingham.

Main problem will be coming back.

It doesn’t but I figured not everyone’s leaving from Cov. There’ll be a lot of people travelling from elsewhere through Birmingham though

From the CT just now-
Major disruption on trains due to flooding
Despite the weather, everyone seems to be having a pretty good time. But if you have to get back to Rugby after the festival this evening, take note now.

Due to flooding, all lines are blocked at Rugby station at this time. This means that services are being delayed and cancelled. At the moment, rail bosses are expecting this to last until 19.30, but obviously, that could change. We’ll keep you updated.

Not great if there is much more rain overnight!

Late I know, but easy direct run to Wembley Stadium from Oxford Parkway and lots of parking too.
