The Doyle and Hughes midfield partnership years, shudder.

Doyle was absolute garbage.

How very dare you, Greggs can assess a footballer in 30 to 60 minutes of play.

Perhaps he should have watched a bit longer like me, you and Grendel.

Doyle hardworking but limited.

That is of course why he has had an 11 year career in the football league clocking up nearly 450 appearances (about 40/year), is currently playing for league one favourites Sheff Utd and looks like he will feature in most games as he is still the captain.

Guess you know better than Nigel Clough though .

Almost 8 years I saw him play and the most memorable thing I recall from Doyle was when he punched a Sheffield Wednesday player in the bollocks. Thats it.

People joke about sideways Sammy but this guy even struggled with that. Sorry but anyone who says Doyle was a good player is absoltely fucking mental.

People don't honestly think Doyle was good on a footballing level?

If you do, say now so I can ignore anything you say football related in the future. Cheers.

"But he put a good shift in..."

Yikes.

Doyle class?!? As in Michael Doyle?!? We deserve what we get if were painting players like him as a "legend of the club".

It was the same with Richard Shaw. That's why I believe Coventry fans have got what they deserve, the absolute dross they have rated over the years is an embarrassment.

Paul Telfer played some 513 games at an even higher level, most due to Gordan Strachan....but I wouldn't rate him as a footballer. Perhaps you did?

Each to their own, it's what makes football interesting.

Haha i'm gonna pay for that silly quote! But you know what i mean....... it took 30 minutes to see DMC was too good for this level and Callum was razor sharp when he came on as a sub at The Ricoh and scored a cracker. Leon Clarke battered us for 45 minutes when he played for Scunthorpe......

That's a great question and to be perfectly honest, I don't know.

He is a born leader and very, very inspirational, think he'll play in defence but be extremely effective from 'dead balls'!

When we're desperate may even play up-front?

If you think he is going to be inspirational at CB you may be disappointed. His better position is LB. Yes he is good at set pieces....but that won't make him necessarily a good stand in forward.

I hope he comes good with the leadership, because we are lacking that at the moment. The youngsters need a leader.

"Richard Shaw and Michael Doyle were loyal servants to the club"

I promise I won't mention it again mate, lol. I made a similar decision on Freddie Eastwood, who I hadn't seen much of but everyone was raving about. Saw him kicking in before his home debut and thought either he is seriously short of game time or is gonna be shit.
