We have none, that last one i can remember was that Watford full back we had for a bit, Dickinson?

Bradford had a big domineering tough centre half, who led by example. We might have Reda, but i wouldn't call him a hard case, he cant tackle.

We need some steel and nastiness in the side. We are far too nice.

I think we need a tough man in the centre of the park to allow john fleck to dictate play. Controversial but id have michael doyle back tomorrow

Ryan Haynes. You don't grow up with hair that ginger without having to defend yourself at various points.

Loved Doyle. He has played 160 games in the last 3 years, scoring 9. Better record than Mcwank.

Dennis Wise was no pushover. Perhaps he'll come out of retirement

As long as we get someone who can also play football (Dickinson couldn't) I agree. Need a hard man in the middle to replace Thomas.

Conor Thomas: Doing absolutely nothing since January 2011

Completely true this statement. I just cannot see what Liverpool saw in him or what Pressley sees in him now. I think hes one of them players that because he had a trial at Liverpool thinks hes the bees knees. Pressley if you are reading this Conor Thomas might be a young lad from cov but he is not part of the 'long term future of the club' he might have 'bought into the ethos of the club' and in your eyes 'part of what we want to build here' but its time for him to move on. Please tell me how you can tell Baker his 'first team opportunities will be limited this season' but continue to offer mr Thomas a whole host of opportunities. With Conor Thomas in the side we will be hearing a lot of 'i saw good things in our performance, so proud of my players for the spirit they shown. Just unfortunately we werent able to get anything out of the game'

What about Prutton last year? He can be a bit nasty.

His legs had gone though, having said that I would have him in there ahead of Thomas. Doing the punditry on Sky atm as well

Doyle class?!? As in Michael Doyle?!? We deserve what we get if were painting players like him as a "legend of the club".

Why is all you have to do is foul a lot, show some "pash'un" and be a terrible technical footballer to get some sort of hero worship from our fans?

Ask Sheff Utd fans what they think, if they're not still partying over the fact he was dropped Saturday.

Toilet footballer.

Nah it was against Preston on a Saturday evening game, quality goal. I agree though not the best footballer we've had but he can be a nasty one. I'm not saying signing him but I wouldn't argue it. We certainly need a midfielder with a really bad reputation, big nasty and hard. maybe someone from the lower leagues and not a deegan

Big Mo KonjicI he was fearless in the air. Made his debut with two broken arms after a car crash in bosnia fleeing war conflict. People used to say he was a pussy for crying but this was true true reason

Pressley has openly said we are not looking for another midfielder, he must think Thomas and Daniels are up to the task.

Is big mo the last true hard man we had? Before him there was Paul "you'll never beat willow" Williams and Liam "hard as nails" Daish

I have some time and respect for Pressley at the moment. But I do think we are crying out for a good defensive midfield player even if for the short term.

Eustace have a lot of time for as long as he still has some legs.

Doyle I didn't particularly rate, but League 1 probably more his level.

Oh for a Terry Yorath or a Dean Emmerson.

Think we have a new one in our midst, been fortunate enough to meet and talk to him on a couple of occasions during the last few days.

A very warm welcome to Reda Johnson who's going to be a real find and fans favourite IMHO. PUSB!

Doyle as a central midfield hard man? Are you having a laugh. He couldn't tackle and also distribution was woeful.

Have you replaced NLHWC as the poster on a football forum who is clueless about football?
