I am going to do that. I've created music since i was 14 in 1979, so I am taking in a laptop (loaded with plenty of VSTi software and FL Studio, plus a tiny USB/midi keyboard) and once the sickness from the chemo has passed i hope to get creative and write some instrumentals. For years I've dreamt of writing a soundtrack to a 60s spy TV series or film and have done many pieces over the years so may do some more stuff. According how i feel, of course.

Good for you mate. Great therapy and something to take your mind of things.
Got me thinking and reminiscing. 60s spy series. Man from Uncle or The Saint, The Persuaders.
Showing my age.

I'm really glad that the future is looking a little brighter for you, Torchy. This time next year you could be 100% healthy and in despair about the prospects for the Sky Blues. :woot:

A lot of the classic themes (Persuaders, Ipcress File), etc use an instrument called a Zither, sometimes known as a cimbalom. The soundtrack to the Guy Ritchie version of U.N.C.L.E was great and used that instrument a lot, to get the "mood" of the original series. Worth a listen.

Fantastic news, Torch.
Won't it be great when your wife is telling everyone it was just a bad case of man flu all along and you can play along?
Keep the faith and remember to take good care of yourself.

Eh? No! I will miss it in a way, it's been very useful over the last few months. "Can you make me a cup of tea, love and get me a hot crossed bun? I would get it but I have cancer.", "could you please go and get me a Dominos pizza? I would do it but I have leukemia".

Works every time. You've got to use these things to your advantage whilst you can!

Just got back in hospital. Second round of chemo starts tonight. Not as strong, so hope to recover and get home quicker this time. My aim is to be out in under 4 weeks rather than 6. Just need to avoid infection.

This all sounds very positive. Get yourself sorted in time for the takeover champions league and relocation back to Highfield Road..... yes I am receiving treatment too but it's my head that's gone!

Told today once my last round of chemo ends on Sunday evening I can go home. Hopefully be at home until mid April.

Sickness and nausea from chemo has kicked in straightaway this time, which is a shame but only to be expected.

Great news that the chemo is now out of the way.

You can now go into Sunday knowing it's the final time.

Keep going, Torch.

Good to hear. The worst is now behind you, fingers crossed.
Keep your loved ones close and enjoy some Spring air. Might help with the nausea.
