Evening all.

Following on from all the hoopla about Juke being the best striker in the Championship, in my opinion the following are well ahead of him in terms of talent (if not effort).

These are all different players and would bring different elements to the team, but regardless of age, purely on ability - are ahead of him:

Billy Sharp
Kevin Phillips
David Nugent
Carlton Cole
Marlon King (ouch)
Nicky Maynard
Darius Henderson
Rickie Lambert
Ross McCormack
Jason Roberts
Jay Rodriguez
Matty Fryatt
Marvin Emnes
Craig Mackail-Smith

Opinions?

I don't think Matty Fryatt, Mackail-Smith, Jason Roberts, Jay Rodriguez, Marvin Emnes or Darius Henderson are.. difficult to argue with the rest of those though. I would also throw in Zaha of Palace and Kenny Miller.

Henderson, McCormack, Mackail-Smith and Fryatt are all below Juke in my opinion. Is this one of those classic cases of we've sold him so now he must be rubbish?

Good, strong striker. Not best at running at players or shooting though. Would loved to have seen him play with Nimely. Perfect partnership to me.

Who is best or better is just opinion - strikers are there to score goals first and foremost and having scored 11 this season that puts him in with the top strikers in this division on that basis

Rodriguez is probably in the top 3 in the league

Nimely, although on loan would be listed on the list.
I would say platt is the best target man in the champ.
