After last night I was very frustrated but hey we can't win them all

Peterborough finished 6th last season on 74pts that's 8.22 pts a month average.

We currently sit on 12pts needing 4 pts from the next 2 games which is definitely possible against Preston and Rochdale.

The decision for redas sending off and loosing will come back round and benefit us in a game we should of lost.

We have the potential to reach the top 6, but it's still very early in the season yet with a long way to go.

You also need quite a bit of luck, i.e. avoiding injuries to key players etc.

We have the potential, but it's still very early days.

I agree, one thing i do worry about is the lack of a plan b. I know Reda was sent off but we looked very vunerable at 4-4-2 and im unconvinced Haynes is a good enough defender to play as an out an out left back. We have quality throughout the team and i think if we can keep Nouble and McQoid all season we will be up there. Im not too worried about the games without Reda because ive always rated Seb Hines i think he will come in and do a real good job for us

Yeah still far too early, plus points per month isn't a great indicator, some months you can have 7-8 league games and other months only 4-5.

73-74 has been pretty much par for top six for the last 7-8 seasons in league one - 1.6 points per game.

We need a bit of luck with injuries and in January but we definitely potential to get in the top 6. This is the first season I've felt quietly confident we can actually do it this year, but for me auto's are a step too far.

Keep the faith

True but we are only 8 games in. 14th are only 2 wins away from 2nd.

Points per month is of very little relevance due to the differing numbers of games played per month, you need to be thinking in terms of points per games, young man. Peterborough averaged 1.61. We, for what its worth at this early stage of the season, are on 1.50.

Top half for me. I think there will be a 6 more consistent teams than us. I would obviously love to be wrong but this is my opinion.

Swindon, Sheffield united, preston, mk dons, bristol city and Peterborough my top 6.

We'll do it if we can keep our best players on the pitch. Simple really. We don't need any more moments of madness from our senior professionals

We are on the right lines and no reason why top 6 shouldn't be our aim. Still room for improvement and as Otis says we need to avoid injuries to key players. Keep the faith, play up sky blues.

Anything is possible but that does not mean it is likely. Past results are no guarantee of future performance. I still say based on the performances so far and based on our goal difference, a mid-table position is most likely with relegation just as likely as promotion. Would love to be proved wrong.

We have lost two games so far. One was to an injury time winner. The other we were winning when we got a player sent off with most of the game to go.

We don't have the quality of players that we are used to. But we are also not used to playing in division 3. Our squad is of a decent quality for where we are. I think we will finish in the top 4. If Reda hadn't got himself sent off the odds are we would have won. If we had won we would have been in 3rd. We would have been 1 point off 2nd. Dreaming of automatic promotion. It happened. But there is a long way to go.

On paper I don't think we are quite top 6 material but top 10 for sure and virtually every year teams get into the top 6 who you wouldn't have predicted to at the start. Johnson's suspension gives somebody else a chance to step up, at least that's how I prefer to see it.

More often than not there is a newly promoted club pushing for a top 6 place in the higher division too, so that has to come into the thinking.

I think if we keep grinding out the 1-0s we will be up there, although it does nothing for nerves at the end of each game when we are holding on.
