Forward must live with club captain Nolan
Newcastle striker Andy Carroll has been granted conditional bail after being charged with assault.
Carroll appeared at Tynedale Magistrates' Court in Hexham on Monday after being arrested in Ponteland on Sunday.
He was charged with assaulting ex-girlfriend Laurie Henderson at her home.
After an hour-long hearing he was bailed to live with Newcastle club captain Kevin Nolan.
Carroll has denied the offence, claiming self-defence, the court heard.
The case has been adjourned until 10th January
Very good , we could become a half-way house for convicted footballers. But then again we have little chance of getting the well behaved footballers back into 'normal' society, let alone the crims!!
Perhaps Rooney, Messi, Ronaldo, Kaka, JT, Vidic, A.Cole and other superstars should think about a year in prison atleast they can spend a season at Coventry City afterwards
