Heard earlier that away teams get tours of the ground and not to mention the happy clappy welcome to coventry from jd!

Whatever happened to them being perceived as baddies? I dont mean having a fight, things like sky blue sam giving the thumbs down and having a scrap with their mascot!

Just seems that we are overly nice to away teams!

If it's to make them feel like they're playing at home then with our away form, it might give us an advantage!

In all seriousness, the whole ground is too 'nice'. It's not intimidating or noisy. Away fans need to be moved closer. Pitch is too far from the stand, but there's nothing that can be done about that.

When i was a kid it was like goodies and baddies! Cov were good and the other team baddies! Id probably shout boo like a baddy was coming on stage in a pantomime if they had a corner or throw in! Not because i hated them or wanted to offend them just because they didnt play for cov!

We should be making it a nightmare place for people to come rather than licking their arse!

Tosser from FreeRadio or whatever it's called this week. Wanker that used to run about the pitch at the start of games.

Do you think an element of that is because you were a kid? I remember feeling the same when I was a kid but I think alot of that is how you build things in your head when you are young.

I do think there is a point here in general though - more in terms of what someone else has said about away fans being so far away. its like they are in a different stadium! if they want to get the atmosphere going in that stadium try getting them a bit closer to cov fans - we all know that would great some great banter going, and spur us on to be a bit louder. it does feel pretty souless in there

Ha well yeah, i dont tend to shout boo you baddy but even the kids arent really like it now! The only reason id like an opposing player was if i had done a good deal on him as a footy sticker that week and got my peter ndlovu shiny for it!

I guess it is the fans being so far away but i just mean the matchday experience in general!

Everything is just so nicey nicey, gushing over the away fans and thanking them for making the journey at half time when they are 2 nil up! Fuck them, they are at our ground!

I completely agree with the fuck them sentiment! I just dont know however how much of an effect it makes. An argument could be made to say if you are a host team and dont show any courtesy etc....the away team may well be even more up for doing you over.

youd hope we may look a bit more at what we can do to improve atmosphere but I cant see them bothering.

Ps, I cant believe you got an Ndlovu shiney you jammy bastard!
