The words of Nick Barmby last night.

You have not followed the script. You were supposed to play well last night and have your off day on Saturday. They are having a little bit of a struggle though, losing the last 3 games.

Ohh and why can't CWR conduct interviews like this? Listen to Barmby's post match interview, This interviewer has got it spot-on with his questioning. Makes our post match interviews all seem rather lame and pathetic and embarrassing.

I know a couple of hull fans. One goes to every game. Reckoned they were bang out of form before last night and "there for the taking".

I appreciate the sentiments but I want to see us prove we are good enough to stay up whatever the form of the opposition

Unbeaten in 5, 2 clean sheets on the trot......pretty much think we are proving it!

Point missed a little.

What I m saying is that it's about us and not worrying about others. And yes our form is good.

Just my way of looking at it

And grabbing an away win would really prove it for me

Am I missing a game? Did we not concede at Cardiff?

My bad, I was thinking of the last 2 home games. Forgot Cardiff in between.

No i get your point, just saying that we are, and nothing wrong in hoping the other team have an off day, i think if we continue the way we are it may not matter what anyone else does, going to be plenty of twists to come yet.

I agree with this, the likelihood is we're going to lose a game soon.. 6pts from the next 3 games would be superb..

we are now 5 unbeaten - we havent been 6 unbeated since just before the chelsea fa cup game . so this will really show what we are made of. I think as a mimimum we need 5 points from the next 3 and 5 points from the 3 after that . So a long long way to go yet

heres hoping that if we need a point or 3 on the last day that southampton already have the title, and they have the chance to send portsmouth down

Of our 7 remaining fixtures only one team is above us in the form table and no prizes for guessing that team is Southampton.

So the momentum is with us, just hope we can keep this run going.

We can beat Hull. We should go there full of confidence and take the game to them. When we are nervy and sit back then we always concede. Come on City, you can do it. PUSB

Win on Saturday and I will really believe we can do it.

I just think an away win would do so much to our belief. It would be absolutely massive.

Agree Otis but I would snap your hand off for a point and it would continue the unbeaten run.

I would too.

Just puts more pressure on us to win our home games though.

Get the feeling Pompey will beat Burnley on Saturday and even a draw for us would have Pompey leapfrogging us into 4th from bottom slot. Bristol have Derby at home. Get a felling they will get a point out of that one, if not even pull off a victory.

You would think a draw would be great on Saturday, but that could in fact leave us deeper in the mire if other results go against us.

Crossing my fingers and hoping Bristol continue to fail and that Burnley pick something up against Pompey.

i think the key on saturday is to give it a go. If we play for a draw we will lose. if we play to win we may just get a point like the Cardiff game. bristol could win sat in fact in all my calculations for coventry to stay up Bristol win this game so hoping that they maybe just slip up. Its just so tense i feal ill every time i think about it.

The fact that we are even contemplating escaping the drop shows how far we have come since Christmas. I'd already resigned us to League 1 for next season!

I think 46 is going to be the magic number this year, which means 11 more points. Hull and Burnley have got to be our best chances of an away win, and avoiding defeat at Bristol is a must.

Looking at the relevant run ins I don't think Forest, Millwall or Peterborough are going to be dragged into it unfortunately

I can see where this is going. If we lose on Saturday then people can say "even their manager thought they'd been playing poorly"

Clever.

I fully expect us to lose. We still haven't won away and Hull are still a better team albeit off form.

Agree that we need an away win and some heroic home form to stay up though. Beat Bristol and Donny and well e ok, that's a big IF though...

I'm inclined to disagree, though following your Mystic Meg like prediction last week, I'm hedging my bets.

Hull are out of form, my mate says they are awful.

Should put 6 past them on Saturday.

Fook it, I am going to watch the Donny/Brum game Friday night on Sky and will firmly be backing the Bluenoses.

You have a mate? Even more of a shock than a win against Hull ;-)

Lived the other side of the Humber bridge for over 15 years. Hull is an absolute shithole. Makes Cov look like paradise. They sound nearly as thick as a brummie.

I'm going to tell my mate that. He's 6 foot 8 and makes Mike Tyson look like twiggy.

We had family up there in the 70s and I used to visit a lot. Went to Boothferry Park more times than I can remember in those days. Astute is right, it's a terrible place.

So another team in dire form, need a helping hand, along come the ever generous Sky Blues & a win for Hull, as it was for Forest & many other teams over many years. Despite encouraging signs, can't see this changing anytime soon, particularly away from home.

So he is a couple of inches bigger than me. I'm not that slim either. Shitting myself here ;-) Bet you are hard when you are with him. Does he use you as an elbow rest?

Hardly he's about 5 foot 5 really - and yes you are right about the silly accent.

Agreed that is usually the way with city but can take a lot of heart from the come back at Cardiff, think the players now believe they can get something on the road
