Dear Supporter,

Firstly, I'd like to personally thank every supporter who has already purchased a season ticket and backed the team for the upcoming season.

It has been a positive pre-season so far with Marcus Tudgay, Reda Johnson and Ivor Lawton all signing extended deals with the club, as well as the signings of Chris Stokes, Sam Ricketts, who captained Wolverhampton Wanderers to the League One title, and Romain Vincelot, who joined for an undisclosed fee from Leyton Orient.

If we're to have a successful season and push for promotion like we'd all love to see us achieve, these are exactly the type of players who will get us there.

As I've mentioned recently and our pre-season games have shown, there are still areas of the squad I would like to add to before the start of the new season, particularly in the forward areas.

We're currently working on a number of deals to help strengthen our squad before the start of the season and fire us up the league.

In football, the club's budget and the calibre of player you bring in depends on the revenue it generates and Season Tickets have been a huge factor in resourcing our playing budget.

We'd like to continue to bring in a high calibre of player and this would definitely be helped by yourself committing to us for the 2015/16 season. It is going to be a real team effort and for us to be successful, we need you to join us on this journey.

It will include ups and downs. That’s football, but you need to go through the disappointments to achieve a successful result and I want you to be a part of that journey.

It isn’t all about the revenue and budget though. I’m right when I say the staff, players and everyone connected with the club would love to see the Ricoh Arena as full as possible, generating an atmosphere which would make it difficult for any visiting team.

Too many times in recent history, in the Championship and League One, teams have enjoyed their trip to the Ricoh Arena. This needs to change. Generally, teams which secure promotion are the teams who count on their home form, and more importantly, their home support. We need to recreate that atmosphere which has seen the likes of Bristol City, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sheffield Wednesday all achieve promotion from the third tier.

A lot of work is going on behind the scenes and we're not only planning to have a successful season but a great future, and we'd love for you to be there to see it.

As always, thanks for your continued support,

Tony Mowbray.

He would've read that and authorised it but there is no way TM has written that

Don't actually think writing that is beyond him. It will have been checked before being sent out, but I'm sure he can string a few sentences together.

He probably wouldn't have written in (happens in businesses, public sector, mp's, etc all the time), but I doubt he would let something go out in his name before reading and okaying it.

I only posted it as I know a fair few ok here having been getting the emails, despite them being on the system.

I'm a St holder last 5 years except sixfeilds .never had any of these emails. And they have my email address. In any case only decent signings will inflate st sales.

SISU wankers playing a last fanfare for a last influx of season ticket / match package money ! It's just too obvious the vile shits ! How about they pop in a couple of signings who are going to help us compete ? I think they are taking the piss again, s'ok though the legal team will be being prepped with everything they need to succeed !

LOVE CITY HATE SISU !!!!

More money in = bigger budget for manager
Less money in = smaller budget for manager

Rocket science.

A couple of signings to help us compete? What, like Reda, Ricketts, Vincelot, and Lameiras? You mean like those four - our best player last season and 3 more who look better than anyone else in the team last year? Do you read what you write before you post it you clown

According to Ashdown its;

More money in = Perry Mason
Less money in = some locum from Vardy and Tibbs

You know it makes sense. Well sense to Ashdown anyway.

Nice comments but falls on deaf ears. We need our team to be more consistent and start winning games. Support from home fans can give you something but it's down the the players really not us. Small grounds affect small minds somebody said. If the players are good enough they will do well regardless of fans!

I tend to agree that he didn't write it. Too many cliche that are not managerial but bureaucratic.

and the dead give away;

who joined for an undisclosed fee from Leyton Orient.

And that was just in the first few paragraphs. A manager using the term 'undisclosed fee' that is pure censorship. A 'fee' may be used by a manager but I've never heard one say 'undisclosed' before.

Comments nothing more than you would expect. We are moving, all be it slowly at the minute, in the right direction. Whether TM wrote the words or not he would have agreed them. He has brought in three players who in my opinion add to the quality of the team. Rockets has pedigree at this level, vincelot gives protection something we have lacked for a while and lameries who gives that creativity we missed for most of last season. As for 'firing' us up the league....well perhaps with a bit of a stutter. But am I more confident than a year ago? Yes I am

Sure, almost certainly so. I've tended to write these kind of emails for my boss on occasions also. Don't see what difference it makes.

Tis very true and I was on the wind up a tad but having said that how many did we release after last season ? We've brought in 3 new players and no forwards as yet ?
