So if the money we were offering was so poor, why was he targeting players who are now all playing in the Championship rather than decent Conference / League 2 and League 1 players? Doesn't make sense.

You answered your own question, they never came here because of the piss poor wage being offered. They clearly waited before signing to see if something better would be offered, which obviously happened hence why they're not here.

Yes, and they went to the Championship where the average wage is about 4 times as much as the League 1 average wage.

What is your point? Why would you target Championship players if you knew you had so little to spend?

It is like having a transfer budget of 50k and moaning you can't buy Messi or going to look at Lamborghinis if you have a Skoda budget.

It doesn't make sense does it?

Maybe his budget was higher, but it's been reduced?

I can only think of Kevin Wilson, so who are all the other Championship players you spout shite of?

Notice how he mentions players like Messi e.c.t and says people are moaning? completely drifts off what he was originally saying. A complete muppet.

The ones he said he missed out on but are now doing well in the championship.

How has that drifted away from anything? Are you struggling to keep up or understand?

If he has such a low budget, why is he chasing championship players? Simple question. Surely if it is the case, it's his own fault?

Who? Kevin Wilson is doing well is he? There is no-one else. Because it's obvious he's had to play the media just like he's had to play around being fucked over with the budget.

It's your own gullible fault to believe we were chasing higher quality players. You can't even name any. Hows his free agent search going? just like his summer activity?

So Mowbray is lying? He took gambled and it didn't pay off.

Seems to be you will just make shit up in your head and believe it anyway.

Obviously we have the lowest budget in the league and his hands are tied etc etc etc NOPM. Easier just to shout that over and over.

Yet everything you've said is pure guessing? The irony. You just made shit up about an imaginary wage budget and Messi to try and prove your wrongness about chasing higher quality players.

No, it was to prove if you have a low budget you don't waste your time on players above your level. Yes, it's a gamble and fantastic when it pays off but also bad if you don't have plan Bs.

What is guesswork? Mowbray would be very strange if he was going out of his way to lie, and those lies would only make himself look bad.

It would be great to find out what has actually happened over the summer, without us all second guessing. Anderson quitting should give an idea that it all went tits up during the past 3 month.

What you mean is, you are going to say everything is lies until you hear a Rumour from somebody like Juggy and be all over it?

It would be very strange for Mowbray to go out of his way to lie about things that makes him look bad as a football manager.

Not if he was lied to first and he actually believed what he was being told throughout the summer. You find things sometimes unfathomable don't you?

Just stick in a NOPM or Juggy thread drifter in, to deflect the shite you spout away.

So why is he still lying now the season has started? I wasn't talking about before the summer. Does that mean Venus is then lying to Mowbray?

It seems to be you finding that Mowbray might have screwed up unfathomable.

I can possibly see TM being a bit economical with the truth but wouldn't he do it to his advantage. Not make himself look incompetent. He's also given a fair bit of details on the failure of the summers transfer deal which would be odd if he was making it up.

Not at all, he's fucked up because he obviously believed he was going to be backed by above with trying to get all these championship players you talk about in. When reality is they pulled the rug from right underneath him.

Yet he still keeps saying the budget isn't noticeably different. I just don't get why he would go out of his way to make himself look a bad manager.

OR he just set his sights too high and his gamble didn't pay off, as they all went to the Championship where the average wage is much higher than League 1.

I want SISU gone from my club, but not everything is their fault. I think Nick's correct TM cocked up,may be he thought his name might make players come here.

If you try for players above your divsion or players looking to move up divisons then its a gamble, unless you try players in a lower division.

Also agents are not supid you have the chance to go to a stable club with ambition or one thats lost its ground, have owners suing everyone and that are hated by the fans, which one would you choose.

You need backup players in case they fall through, waiting and waiting on players above our level means other teams snatch the decent League 1 / League 2 players.

We never seem to have a full thought out action plan, so if plan A fails we then panic hence some of our signings.

Boro fan in peace here.

Mowbray seems to have followed on with you guys the pattern he developed at the end with us - brilliant first half to the season, deplorable second, terrible form carried on into the next season. His teams play relatively attractive football (if sometimes a bit lethargically), but it all comes apart because he cannot adapt quickly enough when his way of playing has been sussed. He has nothing beyond a Plan A.

His recruitment is by and large excellent, indeed several of our first team in the Premier League were total bargain basement buys from the Mowbray days, but he cannot produce consistent results over a full season due to a rigid and often predictable set up, poor man-management and motivational skills and, a surprise from one of the most revered defenders at our club, a poor defensive setup.

I hope he pulls it round with you guys, I really do as despite the poor end to his spell as our manager he is still a club legend. Sadly looking at your current state and your all too familiar fall from grace coming in the second half of last season I really do think the writing is on the wall.

What is worth noting is that through his recruitment and his ability to reduce the wage budget whilst staying competitive in the division (granted only for half a season) it gave us the platform to bounce to promotion. We were in a poor financial situation when he took over with big earning players who were performing below championship standard. He managed to get them off the books and bring through some really good players for absolute pennies. If he doesn't manage to turn results round in a satisfactory way then I hope he at least gives you the foundations that he gave us.

The second paragraph is very familiar, we see it all the time where the opposition make a change and we don't react. He seems very stubborn with things that aren't working as well. We got found out last season and teams had a plan to play against us.
