Sounds confident that he will be bringing the youngsters into a team that is strong and winning! Better for them then bringing them on for a 5-0 loss on their debut!

As long as that means they'll only come on when we're 5-0 up I don't mind

That would be nice to have a winning team, I hope he also brings in players that are strong willed as well just in case we get a few bigger crowds and our players tend to wilt away and that is not good for the youngsters to see.

It is what we should be expecting. Sign Reda, Stokes and Tudgay hopefully. Bring in another 7 or 8 on a contract. 4 in on loan. This would then mean that the younger players would be slowly brought in as subs ready for when they are needed through injury/suspension. Or do some think that TM is going to sign about 20 players? He will want quality over quantity. And it sounds like we have a few more younger players ready to give it a go.

There is blooding youngsters as he implies and then there is throwing them in at the deep end in a physical league as has happened previously ? It's only 10th June it really is, but so far: Chris Stokes not good enough for FGR, Tudguy said something to the tune of 'He'd fallen out of love with football' and Reda Johnson who is injury prone big time and was the guy who allegedly went toe to toe with his previous manager ?? Throw in a handful of kids promoted from the academy and that's your lot thus far. There is a tonne of work to do in assembling a competitive squad !

What do some expect? He will be negotiating with agents on how much he is willing to pay them. He has a certain amount of money. He won't blow it all in one go. He also won't get all his 1st choices. But if he is offering about the same as other clubs there is a good chance he will get his man. I would prefer him to take his time and get the right players in that can play the way he wants and not just sign players because we know who they are.

Do you really believe a man of Mowbray's knowledge and integrity is going to do that? TM knows exactly what he's doing and the assembly has only just begun!

To be honest the success of alot of our kids has been the fact that they have been given alot of exposure to first team football and i hope this continues under the right circumstances rather than desperation. You look at all of the young talent in the premier league (particuarly in Chelsea, City etc) who get shipped out to clubs like us and take the place of our young kids. I would rather bring in experienced players to teach our youngsters than better a Chelsea loanee if the potential is at the club already, this increases their stock and value as a result. We will probably end up selling them but its revenue for the club.

They have come out of the squad budget. But at least Joy has let someone that has a clue about football take over the important stuff of our club.

It's fair to say that so far the manager has been given what he wanted in terms of budget control.

Think we have to like it or lump it we won't be signing £million players, and hope the manager has indeed positioned his budget in the best way.

Time will tell...

No space needed before the question mark.
Only one question mark needed.
'They're' not 'there'
No space needed before the full stop.
Only on full stop needed.
'You're' not 'you'
'disalugend' isn't a word.
Your last sentence makes no sense.

Cheers x

It really gets my goat that some bellends on here bleat on about Stokes not being good enough for Forest Green Rovers....
his face did not fit and I doubt he wanted to go back there tbh after his time with a league one club.

Plus TM thinks his worth the gamble.....

Masch was not rated good enough for West Ham.......he's gone nowhere since then has he,....oh hang on he's at Barcelona!!

I don't know about you guys but off to slit my wrists we have missed out on signing two 30 year oid journeymen on big wages on three year contracts.....
The season starts tomorrow after all ....we're doomed as we should have signed more than any other league one team....about 30 players by now surely is realistic!!

In truth its far too early to judge SISU's backing of TM in the market. If past summers are anything to go by you could be right but something tells me this summer we will recruit as well as we have since the day of Ranson & Coleman when we signed Dann and Fox from Wallsall.
