Tony Mowbray has reportedly informed his players that he will be resigning as manager of Coventry City Football Club.
In an interview with Geoff Foster in the minutes that followed tonight’s draw with AFC Wimbledon, Tony Mowbray gave strong indications that his time at the club was at an end. Clearly downbeat and dejected, Tony Mowbray called on the owners to invest in the team, and on more than one occasion used the word ‘they’ rather than ‘we’ in reference to the club.
Various sources are now saying that the players were informed of his intentions shortly after the final whistle, and his decision will be formally announced tomorrow. More to follow.
