Nothing flash, no promises, common sense. I like Tony.

"there's no money to buy footballers of course"? I don't understand the context of this? Does he mean we've got to sell if we buy, or the money is spare from players dropped to play wages. Or we take players out of contract so no signing fee?

Free transfers, innit.

In other words he has to beg, borrow and steal a squad, pretty much like just about every manager in this division tbf.

Welcome to lower league football post Sky.

Yep, absolutely nothing to spend on players. Of course with deflation now rampant in the UK the freebies won't drop in value. Shrewd move by our savvy owners.

The best thing about having a small amount of contracted players, is he has his budget, and we should be considerably below budget.

Fed up of hearing this one out, one in policy. We've got rid of the dead wood, so let's build a squad early, rather than picking up the scraps. I don't care about paying transfer fees, I'd rather we used money on wages with higher win and goal bonuses.

So, when you've had your well deserved holiday Tony, get to work!

From the press conference on Sky Blues Player he's got money but he'd rather spend it on wages than fees. He's happy that he's got pretty much a clean slate so lots of funds, relatively speaking, to work with rather than having to get rid of people to bring someone in.

His theory seems to be identify what type of players will fit with how he wants to play and wait for the right players to be available. Says there's a lot of players looking for teams so if your first choice asks for too much money you forget them and wait for the next suitable player to become available.

To be fair he said he was talking his phone with him and would still be working every day.

One question I would have asked.... "How much have Sisu offered you, Tony?"

What he means is the vast majority of teams don't buy and won't be buying players!

The most positive thing to come out of this is Mark Venus. He is coming here more or less as director of football, in other words in charge of anything football below the first team. All top clubs have that it allows the first team manager to get on with the first team.

So where does that leave Waggott ?

At bloody last we have a manager who says it as it is.
no false promises or any other shit, God im looking forward to August, the first season I've looked forward to for 15 years.
As my little girl will be at Warwick Uni for another two years so a season ticket will be bouncing my way, though I can't go every home game

My fellow Norfolkians and Suffolkians should get rent a bus, though as far as I can tell it will be a small one as I know three who have committed so far
