Most important characteristics for a young player to have are hunger, commitment and desire. That's why Jordan Clarke proved himself and got SP's approval. He said if you tell a young player you don't want them and they just accept it, they are the types of lads that you don't want.

He talked about the importance of young players being educated in football and how you can make things easier for young players coming into the first team by having the same systems implemented in the youth team

This question had to be the most bizarre question asked at any forum EVER!

What was that guy? A psychologist? Is it only people like this that notice this kind of minor detail?

I want to be as observant as him!

Although I didn't agree what he went on to say, but also didn't agree with how other fans reacted at the end, what did he mean by this statement? :thinking about:

To be candid SW88- I care not what it means... in my opinion those that introduce themselves in such a self congratulatory manner probably arent worthy of further consideration.. I am dissapointed in myself for rising to his self inflated ego in such a way.....
* note to oneself-must stay calm and just ignore such smugness

Didn't listen to tonight's forum, and don't get me wrong I like SP, but after every single fans forum everyone always says how well *manager at the time* comes across. Boothroyd, Coleman, Dowie etc etc

Pressley's talk of focus on football while out of possession really resonated with me. Jürgen Klopp once said that the pressing game is 'the best playmaker there is'.

You don't need to play sensational football from back to front if you win the ball close to the opponent's goal.

I highly doubt it's a question Baker, Pressley or MacFarlane would be able to answer in fairness.

They have said they would prefer to be playing at the Ricoh. I wonder what Timothy thinks of this.

Do we have our heads buried so deep in the sand. There is absolutely no future in Northampton, the club cannot sustain the losses and has absolutely no intention of returning to Coventry. It is the proverbial re-arranging the chairs on the titanic. Unless there is a speedy resolution we will not exist very soon

first question from the floor

Jim - "in consideration of 50+ games, allowing for injuries etc, what are your views of our current squad"

SP - "Obvious we are thin on the ground, but a great believer in giving young players the opportunity. Not a big supporter of the loan market. If we get injuries or suspensions, I will bring in a loan"
