1 Fairly poor game NZ play like a British team Belarus deserved to win a bit more comfortable on the ball.
2 14,000 there I think the hype over security put some off and the supposed traffic chaos which nver materialized.
3. A few belarus fans who were out sung by NZ "just a small town in Russia" being the highlight.
4. Football played in a mostly neutral crowd is different but didn't feel right.
5. A higher proportion of MILF than at normal Cov games.
6. Mexican waves were good deflected from a dire first half.
7. Chap behind me who was a rugger bugger and thought he new about CCFC but was sooo wrong had shocking BO that should have led to him being banned from the rest of the olympics drug cheats are bad but soap dodgers worse.
8. It was different and I enjoyed it.

No betting but the casino a and other facilities open as usual but security checks are needed!

I had a great night there tonight! Good laugh and funny chants and banter from the NZ and Belarus fans!

My kids watched some of last night's match and marvelled that there might be people from all over the world sitting in THEIR seats!

Yeah I did!
Belarus fans didn't look happy when the New Zealanders were chanting "Small Town in Russia"!

On point number 5, was there a higher standard of hunks? As there is a disappointing surplus of beer bellies and baldies amongst the chaps in our usual crowd.

Taking beer off people in seats??

How fucking amateurish and stone-headed can you get?

God these grounds make me puke.

Sorry to hear about point 7. I've decided I'd like to take my son to an olympic game and because of work, I haven't had the time to look at getting some tickets. I've trawled through a myriad of official olympic ticket info and have one simple question; can I turn up on the day and buy a ticket at the gate? There seem to be a few spare seats at the Ricoh so makes sense..?

I'm going on Wednesday for a double header
Japan v Honduras and Senegal v UAE.

I had hoped that the country when the olympics actually came round would change their tune and back such a prestigious event but seems like it will be lost in Cov.

I watched some of the GB game yesterday and the standard on display seemed uncompetitive and frankly amaturish. There are eight of us going including WAGs but I can see us watching the first game and if there is no beer in the stands disappearing shortly into the second.

Hope I am proved wrong but I can't see it to be honest...
