rather than Pope, there's a young Nuneatonian who is currently with Motherwell I think,
he's 6' 3" and is round about 21 yrs old, Blyth i think his name is, used to play for Nuneaton Griff,
he may be well worth a punt

He's only just joined Motherwell in the last few weeks.

Pope, not consistently prolific, on high wages; personally I think we can do better!

If we want a striker that doesn't score Blyth is our man

I do fear Tom Pope, I think he's gonna cause us problems and will have the beating of Sam Ricketts all evening.

Not sure he would be able to cope with Ricketts' physicality and speed to be honest.

He will hammer Sam Ricketts all evening. I hope he's not Ricketts man at set pieces or were doomed

Yeah, hold my hands up. Preseason I thought he'd be ideal in a alternative forward line... He looks league 2 now at this stage of his career and you need to play a type of football to suit him and we clearly don't play that way.
I don't think bury gave him much service but he managed to win a few headers that produced weak efforts and very cleverly won bury a free kick at the end getting his body in front of Willis.
Thought Sam Ricketts survived against him last night along with Willis and Harries limiting them to half chances.

He was the perfect warm up to Hanson on Saturday for our back 3, more of the same from him, just a tab quicker and a tad more switched on than Pope was last night I'd expect.

I think a seasoned vet in this league in the mould of Hanson/Leon Clarke would score/create hatfulls with jones & Reid running off them.

He wants to go back to Port Vale. Mind you Leon Clarke wanted to come back to us.

Tom Pope is a great set piece man... him and Agyei would make a great pairing.
