He'd had a device fitted that meant he could carry on and would have saved him (already had I think), but had it taken out on religious grounds. If Lockyer's offered something like that I can see him taking it so he can continue playing.Literally there was some African player that refused to retire due to a heart issue he ended up dying this year playing in Albania.

You got pecsI was stunned to hear the news about Tom Lockyer while I was following the football reports on BBC. Some of you may know that I have survived four heart attacks, had a double bypass, and had 5 stents inserted over the years. My bypass was back in 2002 and my last heart attack was in 2018. I sure know how Tom's family must feel right now. But from a survivor (up to now!), I will just say, give up footie, take care of yourself and family and carry on enjoying life without the physical stress. (Picture is of me after heart op.)
