Just made this point on Twitter but interested to see what you lot think

Todd Kane - Play him

The blokes got 2 assists in a handful of games, has a great delivery on him and tackles well.

Dabo hasn't cleared his closest marker with a cross since St Andrews.

I love the bloke, but really feel Kane should be given a chance

Michael Rose is the best centre half at the club in my view. We always look more solid with him in the side, what the fucks he have to do to get a start?

And lastly, 6 without a goal now for Gyok. Any other striker is dropped for that. He looks either fucked, or lacking in confidence. Id drop him for a game

Not convinced on Kane yet, but I don't know how Rose isn't in the side ahead of JCS. Particularly after his two goal saving interventions v Blackburn.

If he doesn't play on Saturday he may as well just hand in a transfer request!

I agree Clarke-Salter needs to be dropped too inconsistent. Allen for me is a bit of a headless chicken.

Don't agree on Kane but do agree Rose is our best defender and should replace JCS.

Kane - 100% bring him in on Saturday. Dabo was both knackered and poor today.

Rose - difficult one. Hyam has been good but I think Rose is a better player. Don’t want Rose or Hyam playing the left of the three.

Vik - he was really good today. We underused his power with the ball in the channels. One poor moment when he looked like he was in 2 minds

Gyo doesn't look the same without Waghorn, but I agree I think he should have been rested to fully recover from the ankle knock. He wasn't fit that game and it's now dragging out. If Waghorn is fit then give him a start.

Dropping Gyo will do more harm than good I would of rested him after his knock,we didn’t create much for him tonight,I think he’s a different player with Waghorn next to him

Funnily enough I saw him score 2 goals against Fulham and we’ve only played 5 matches since then.

Well I think that's why Kane was brought in tbf not to just sit and watch and Cover but to challenge the position .

I liked Kane playing when we switched Fanky to LB and Maatsen can look a but naive defensively although offers so much going forward. I also like Rose, but his competition is Hyam who didn't do anything wrong tonight ir Saturday, arguably could've been dropped after the Preston game though. Gyo I think worked the channels better tonight and didn't really miss any chances just get any. I thought he was better tonight but clearly works best with Waghorn. Different players for different games, but not sure I can agree with any of those changes.

The defence just isn't very good I'm afraid. We could keep shuffling things around but it'll just be a band aid solution really.

Don’t agree. Dabo has no end product. It might be exciting to see him take players on but it means nothing when he can’t create any chances. Kane is the better player and creates goals.

I love Dabo more than any grown man should but I’d be very tempted to put Kane in because the end product difference between them is very noticeable.

Give Dabs Bristol and tell him you want to see a better ball in the box when he can. If not then it’s Kane in for a few after the break.

Franky at left back Todd in at right rose needs to play as a quality CB would play sheaf for Allen as missed v swans gyo alongside walker or box midfield less walker.

I don't think so. He played right side of the three last season and it was Hyam who filled in (inadequately I'd say) in the left side of three. JCS is the only naturally left footer among the 4 of them and offers more balance.

Kane has made around 180 appearances at this level across several teams.

Think the issue with Kane and Dabo is that Dabo is a favourite.

Yeah it looks good when he beats a player down the right but after that it usually comes to nothing. The most we can usually expect is a corner from them.

People disliked Kane before he even signed for us. Slated him when he was shoved at LWB but then didn't mention when he swapped with Dabo he was a massive improvement and got an assist with a great ball.

Major surgery required in the summer. Two CBs and a LWB needed minimum. Though we said the same last summer.

Yeah in the first half but again that wasn't helped by the Midfield.

Second half we were much better on our left.

Rose is definitely competing for the LCB spot.

He used to play RCB and Hyam LCB but that's been swapped around. Each time Rose has played this season it's been on the left.

JCS being left footed is being way overblown. His first job is to defend and you play your best three defenders, regardless of what foot they use.

Kick the ball at JCS and he'll head it and kick it away brilliantly all day long. But his positioning, closing down and general game awareness is shocking. There's a reason he couldn't get a game at Blues last season.

I'll get accused of sounding like a broken record on JCS soon but I just don't think he's that good and it's starting to become apparent to others too.

Can’t play Rose on the left. It completely nullifies both him and Maatsen. I’d have him in ahead of Hyam maybe.

Just think we’re seeing the impact of not bolstering the defence over the summer.

I think Rose is probably the best passer amongst the CBs, and Robins has said along the same lines (think it may have been last season he said it).

Again the whole left footed thing gets way over played and this is not specific to the Rose v JCS debate - would you rather England played Tyrone Mings than Harry Maguire at LCB in the Euros just because he's left footed? No, you play Maguire because he's the better defender (though has been absolute shite for Utd recently!)
