we just need at least one central defender, a midfielder and a striker, not to lose anyone, and then some up and coming kids, and we really could break into the top half of League One

Yep Sheff is still here at the moment, decent core of a team there in Murphy, Adams, Baker, Fleck, Moussa and Clarke. Still needs a lot of work though, Malaga, Dunn, Mcdonald and potentially Bell and Msheffrey are surplus to requirements also.

I'd say we need two centre halves, a winger and two strikers are first priority.

If we lost Murphy, Baker and Clarke without adequately replacing them, then it would be a very tough season.

I'm sorry to say this but if we first get out of Admin we will be under embargo pretty rapidly unless we play A)@ the RICOH and B) get crowds 8-9K. If @ the Ricoh and crowds same as last year we should expect a playing budget of £3-£3.5M. or SISU are not matching their stated commitment .

We will struggle with that squad, mid table at best - central defence a major concern we'll leak a lot of goals, also big concerns around the midfield - not enough physicality or pace, and only 1 decent striker.

To be fair wasn't the first over a dispute with Bolton over a loan deal for Danny Ward? I seem to remember Boothroyd saying that the fee went down the more minute he played but got injured....?

Pressley wants rid of "5 or 6" and assuming its...

McSheff, Malaga, McDonald, Barton and injury prone Bell.....That leaves us with...

GK - Murphy, Dunn, Burge
DEF - J Clarke, Christie, Edge, Wilis, Adams
MID - Thomas, Baker, Fleck, Jennings, Moussa
CF - L Clarke, Wilson

I get the feeling Thomas is one from his end of season tweet ,and the rumours of a new offer if he played that game over 25 or whatever it was . Would he still fetch any money??

I'd be disappointed if Thomas went. Would at least give him a chance. Would like to see Bell stay too. Best player the last few games of the season.

We wasted good money on mediocrity.

I'd be sad to see Thomas go...isn't he still only 18? But Bell although talented is far too injury prone.

I was surprised to see Gary Roberts sign for Chesterfield. Played (and dived) well against us at the Ricoh.

Can't remember exactly except that he was surprised .no-one has really expressed much ,have to say the silence has been impressive. Whoever they are though nobody seems to want them as yet ,odd, unless we can't be sure of getting out of Admin.

Swindon, left wing also played for Ipswich a few seasons a go, decent footballer I was surprise he dropped a division.

Thomas still 19, turns 20 at the end of October - 2 school years younger than philliskirk who we took a punt on.
