There was one other injury, can't remember who. Hopefully it'll grow!

That is easily good enough with fleck and kilbane and maybe another striker to get top 10

fleck, kilbane a target man, and dont lose Keogh

If we need to ship out players, Jeffers and RoD can both go, as Sheff can play up top, with Kilbane covering at left mid....

I'd say we need a ST, a CM, and a LB at the moment, with maybe another CB too

Will people lay off Shaun Jeffers. He is only just 20 years old. He must have something about him to be capped for England under 19's.

If Keogh goes I think we need centre half x2, I wouldn't feel comfortable going into the season with only 2 senior CB. 3 will be ok with Cameron and Willis as back up

No impact in the conference with cambridge or league 2 with cheltenham but he is a good player because we think he is even though there is no evidence to support it.

If Elliot can stay fit he will be a reasonable to good signing. finally people have stopped including Cranie but keogh will also be gone, in order for him to sign a new contract Shitsu would have to offer more money and forego a transfer fee - not going to happen. Willis is young but I expect him to be a major player next year.

yer, like Lee Sawyer, capped at every level for England up to his 20's

Oh, hes not got a club after Southend got rid...

No offense to the lad at all, but in a squad where places are obviously going to be limited, we need a target man to help cody....

You need to consider his age when out on loan at those clubs. Yes, maybe he will never be a Premier league standard player but at least give the kid a chance. He must show some promise on the training ground to be offered a contract year after year.

Not saying he should be a first teamer. He is in the development squad. Maybe given a few games here & there to gain experience when possible.

Problem is I think we have been spoilt by the quality of the youngsters coming through into the first team.

Cameron is only 20 aswell, he will be ok at this level.

Anyone know what "side ways Sammy" is doing, cannot imagine he is in demand?

But that's without taking into account injuries - bell, baker, hussey, Cameron, wood and Deegan haven't got the greatest injury records in the last couple of seasons. They get injured and we're back into playing kids again.

yeh injuries are a big ? over this season

whislt i agree kilbane and fleck would probably be us sorted for a promotion push(if we dont sell anyone) i wouldnt mind maybe 1 more Cb or 1 more in the mf/attack...jsut a bit of variety and strength in depth.

So with Fleck in I reckon Kilbane + CB + 2 CM, if we keep Keogh we may be able to get away without signing a CB but Willis will probably be needed to be called upon a few times.

IMO Keogh will be gone. So the way I see it, we need at least 1 central defender, a strong, physical central midfielder, Kilbane and a striker.

Quite because Keogh is as good as gone anyway, half of them are babies and the other half are made of glass !!..............and ROD a striker, thats not even funny !!

kilbane can be inckluded in both defender and midfield bracket.

I think it's interesting to look at the backup options as well, to see where we're light (some players can be used in different positions, so appear twice)

Murphy/Dunn
Clarke/Christie/Willis
Keogh/Cameron
Wood/Willis/Henderson
Hussey/Kilbane
Kilbane/Thomas
Deegan/Bell
Fleck/Baker
McSheffrey/Fleck
Elliot/Jeffers
McDonald/ROD

I'd expect ROD, Keogh and poss Deegan to go from that, so CB, CM and ST are a must IMO. Ideally I'd have 2 CB, 1 DM, 1 CM and 2 ST, but I can't see Sisu springing for that.

Sammy is wanted by Millwall and Brighton... 2 ambitious Championship clubs ... But not by the fans of a downwardly-mobile League One club which has a dearth of midfielders now.
Scapegoat Sammy doesn't have the same catchy sound as Sideways Sammy.

It's a team, subs and some ball boys. No disrespect to the kids but did you see the photo of them training. They really are kids. They need to be eased in. If this squad does not get the extra signings, they will need go play 15 to 30 games depending on who gets injured. If they don't our main boys will run out of steam again.
