That goal is the worst thing I've seen in a long time. Not only does burge run 35 yards out of goal for no reason, he then panics and slices it and then, to make it worse runs past the fucking shot!!!

What on earth was Burge doing - massively poor decision - absolutely no need to come out.

Not sure what’s worse; the abysmal slice or his half hearted attempt to stop their fluffed, slow motion strike, that resulted in a goal.

He’s done that a few times recently and was lucky not to get caught out.

Today another one of his kicks from a back pass was an easy first time kick out. But he decided he need to be sure and took one or two touches, their strikers charges it down and luckily for him it didn’t go in net.

Exactly my thoughts too. Absolutely no need to come for that ball and he was never, ever going to get that ball. Willis had it covered.

Absolute farce of a goal and pretty much all Burge's fault.

I know it is only the highlights, but Biamou looks pretty decent in the clip. Did really well to win one ball and then put a good ball through to McNulty for a chance on goal.

I played Sunday league for 8 years and not once did our keeper run out of the box like that. What on earth was he thinking?

It is absolutely crazy. Would never get there in a month of Sundays.

If he had come out he might now be a professional keeper.

Village mate.

Robins needs to address this ASAP. Only option is LOB, who I think is a better all round keeper.

He was generally ok, won every header etc and worked hard , all the things we talk about every week.

But I’m afraid it’s criminal the chance he missed today. Patience has worn very thin. He looked sheepish when he came off, like he was relieved. Poor sod I feel for him. He knows it too.

Imagine Willis header last week, which was there for the taking. Willis just said This bitch I see mine! Biamou didn’t think that not in same frame of mind when it comes to shooting. Very meak.

He has zero confidence in front of goal.

I am all for replacing him as long as we actually have a replacement!

Ouch - O like Lee Burge, but that looked comical in a bad way. Most of the attacks seemed to be by us. Unlucky overall. Hopefully a new number 9, a returning Kelly, Vincente etc will help strengthen the overall team. If we can add one goal a game through a strengthened side, I still think that'll be enough to take us up.

Indeed. Although it is odd that our best three chances of the game aren't shown.

This is why we won’t go up. We are a decent team in this league but stupid errors and too many non scoring games will be the reason we won’t go up.

Very poor result yesterday when a draw keeps everything a lot tighter.

Sadly we have 2 below average keepers. If we replace Burge with LOB, we'll be moaning about LOB soon, saying bring Burge back....and so the cycle repeats itself, until we get a decent keeper

Our shots on target always seem straight at the goalkeeper. Not very clinical in the finishing.
Very poor decision by Burge coming out. His judgement with the oncoming ball is always poor.
Mid table is where we will finish this year unless we get more goal scoring ability.

So true about hitting shots straight at the keeper. Even though McNulty is top scorer, he is one of the worst culprits.

we were crying out for a player like the Duck yesterday, I still believe we should’ve kept him for the season even just as an impact player off the bench

I have always said and maintain if a goalkeeper is man of the match its down to poor finishing....good goalscorers dont just blast the ball and hope, they place it. Too many times we have had shots at goal and we have said Mcnulty in particular has been unlucky.. I disagree, he snatches almost every chance, he had a few chances yesterday and when he wasn't blazing the ball way over the bar he was missing the target completely, now I know he is a lower league player but surely if you have 3 chances at least get above average odds and hit the target... Mcnulty definitely needs help up top with a main striker

O'Brien isn't the answer, his comedy roaming and flap at the ball started the Alamoesque shooting frenzy last week against Stoke.
He kicks right footed off the ground and left footed out of his hands and both ways awful!
You could play Burge and O'Brien in goal at the same time ( may as well stick Addai in there too 'cos he's a useless lamp post) and between them all they'd still fuck something up!
Shit goalies, coached by an even shittier goalkeeping coach..all of them liabilities, get rid!

I've watched the highlights a few times now, is Biamou's missed chance on the video? I can only seem to see McNulty with the chances.

It's a real shame for Biamou, because he was involved n some really good link up play, however, going by Robins' words, you can't be missing clear cut chances and expect to start. We really could've done with a win in this one. I also liked the look of Maguire-Drew on the wing, he looks like the threat we need with Jones out.

No, it's not shown. Appeared to be a sitter at the time. Also, the effort tipped onto the bar and the last minute effort that was very well saved also not shown. There were very few highlights in the game, so its strange they missed out our 3 best efforts!

I'm glad someone else had noticed he's gone on a few wonders and got away with them recently.

Some players don't suit the modern sweeper keeper role.

O'Brien was nailed for the error at Yeovil, only fair Burge gets the same criticism and is benched for Swindon.

Does anyone have an extended highlights link by any chance? Surely they'd be on that. Was you at the match?

I Don't think he is a better keeper people just have a problem with Burge for some reason.
I haven't got a problem with O'Brian taking over but if he makes any howlers the ones moaning about Burge will soon be on here defending him.

It's down to opinion. If you think Burge is the better keeper you will defend him. If you think O'Brien is the better keeper then you will defend him.

I personally would rather have a new keeper, but when push comes to shove, out of the two we do have then I would be much happier with O'Brien, but there you go.
