Can I just add to this well thought out argument/ debate, I fucking hate when we don't play Saturday's.
i know that has no relevance to this thread but I'm sat here with my can of Stella watching fucking Jamie Vardy playing football for England, how depressing is that.
if we had played today and won or drawn the game I wouldn't be as suicidal as I am watching this load of horseshit wearing the famous three lions shirt.
I'm physically fucked and oldish,(covcity4life I am not a pensioner I'm 52) ,and I run like I've shit myself, but even I could do better than Jamie bloody Vardy
has there been a worse player pull on an England shirt, apart from Glen "the carthorse" Johnson who I absolutely loathe.

rant over

Agree with you Rev. Just said the same thing on the England game post. Bunch of overpaid tossers who couldn't give a shit about the shirt, just what drugs they are going to snort up their noses tonight.

Not just saying as I'm a City fan, but Vardy played well and offers something different to what England already has. More depressing is the fact that Rooney will be England's top scorer; a player who has done nothing at a World Cup and had the chance to
Score against teams like San Marino and the Faeroes - unlike Charlton and Lineker

I'm in agreement with fox. I thought Vardy did well tonight. I'm pretty sure most are on about that he's not up to England standard. Well, they were playing San Marino, so that doesn't really matter. It's not as if he'll play in the big games. He's an England squad player.
Also, someone saying Owen Hargreaves one of the worst England players!! Have a word!

What Leicester are getting with Vardy now is what Dublin at Cov, Le Tissier at Saints, all encountered. The bigger clubs couldn't/can't stand that a player from a small club (in comparison to Arsenal, United, Liverpool etc) is good enough to play for England and that he's autmatically not good enough because he doesn't play for a major club.

Vardy is a good player and he deserves his chance with England as much as any player who plays for a big club.

Mate, I like your thinking. They (vardy and Johnson) two of the worst ever to play for England so please drink some more as you will need it. Just add Owen Hargreaves and and Trevor Sinclair to that list please.

As for the game tomorrow 3 points back to the 1-0's. Job done

Hargreaves was a very good player. Trevor Sinclair also did well for England, no worse than many 'greats'.

Hargreaves was a good player for England and made significant contributions in many matches.

Do you actually know anything about football?

Yeah, Hargreaves was quality for England it's just a shame injuries wrecked his career.

He didn't dribble past enough players, or score enough wonder goals for my liking.

Saw Hargreaves play live for United at Man City in 2007. He absolutely bossed the midfield. Such a shame that he had such injury problems.

When did Rooney or Beckham ever dribble past a player? And I think they may have scored about one wonder goal each.

Lineker had games against Turkey when we used to beat them about 8-0 every time we played them.

Yep, always good to look at these things. Also, by my reckoning, we are only 40 points away from securing our safety too.

We really need a win on Saturday, 4 points from our last 4 games starts to become a concern if we don't.
