Good at the back, good in midfield, little existence up front.

Juke is not a player that learns or himself. I suggest selling the kid for 2 million and bringing in de Fondue to play up front by himself. Juke doesnt have the energy for the role and the midfield are far too deep. Impressed with most to be honest and if we play like this and bring in a forward we sholdn't have too many problems

Did you watch the game?

Only bigi and clingan did anything in midfield which meant anything past them and it was getting given away by bell or mcsheffrey!

Yes I DID watch the game and we were again playing a play-off team at their ground. The commitment was good and I think Nick you mirror the rest of our supporters, that is living in the past. We are favourites to go down so why act, or expect us to be world beaters? With all the crap flying around I think we perfomed really well.

Carbon copy of the Leicester game, shite in the final third.

Hussey was abysmal, Carr and Burke ran him ragged. Bell and Mcsheffrey non exsistent again. The goal was absolute schoolboy defending from our part. Bigi was quiet. Only player that looked good was Clingan.

Birmingham were just as poor as us, we were the better side, but still not good enough.

At least our attack is firing on all cylinders. That a whole 1 goal in 3 matches.

Bodes well.

I dont expect us to be world beaters, I expect people who are paid to play football to actually put in a shift.

I wouldn't mind if we were totally out classed against Brum or Leicester which we aren't, we are just hopeless once it goes further up the pitch than clingan or bigi.

In the three games we've played we've probably created 3 chances.

Scored from half a yard out as well. Could it be our only goal this season?

Totally agree with Asiansmurf, we played pretty well today with what have. We are a poor side, the bookies rarely get it wrong. And we have played 2 of the favourites for promotion and matched them both. It's refreshing to watch us try and play a bit.
All that's missing is a striker.

In fairness we've come up againts two very good back fours in the first two games.

Palace will be a very big test on Tuesday.

We need new attacking midfielders too

Up to clingan / bigi we looked solid apart from the 1 loss of concentration and from then on we looked bad. Juke can't do everything on his own!

We need a final third playmaker, we've needed one for absolute ages. Problem is they cost a lot of money.

We need the loan market to be kind to us, it's our only hope.

Lets all just agree we need a striker of repute.

Saves all the arguing as we all see the game differently even though we all watched the same game!

We set out a stall not be lose and that's why Clingan and Biggi were deep. It worked well but we lost a goal. That's football.

We just need someone who won't miss chances as we are creating them...

Yep we are only a striker away from being a quality side, look at what we did with a quality striker last year.

Or alternatively a brum side who got beat last week and a leicester side who lost at home yesterday

The problem isn't just a striker, loosing games drains confidence, and once that happens then something needs to change in order for that confidence to return! Normally you bring in players to freshen the team up! At the moment that is what we need and currently we can't get it. I can see Thorn being out of a job if he looses the next two games!!

There would be absolutely no point in having a proper manager with the current set up, a complete waste of money

I agree Macca but sadly for thorn it's a results buisness and I think isn't it 7 games without a win including last season??? I like Thorn and personally think he is the man and if he was given the funds we could be in a very good
Position. As he hasn't been given the funds he's struggling and sadly for him it could be the end.

Very good point. Losing saps confidence, creates nerves and uncertainty in a team's play. We don't really have many players at all to freshen things up. David Bell and Macca have been awful. Both should be dropped but who do we bring in for that pair? Who have we got to replace them?

The board would be absolutely crazy though to even think of sacking Thorn, even if we were to lose 10 in a row. The squad is not big enough and that is not Thorn's fault!

I agree again Otis, i am not saying that's what i want or the way forward but we know how stupid boards can be (The Black, Reid situation) but they will do it if it is going to affect this business and this clearly is... The best thing that could happen is SISU decide what they are going to do either invest and look to sell the club at a later date. Or sell the club now and let someone else invest money into the club. Either way Andy won't be able to do anything untill our future is resolved and as a result his own future is very uncertain.

You say this, but after the game I met up with some blues fans that are friends of mine & they all said he is quality. Said he's a top player especially when going forward.

Can't really blame Hussey because he had two players to defend against, two quick and skillful players. McSheffery is the worst defender in the league and was no help to him at all.
