Not sure I buy this. I know the players when interviewed aren't going to say it's shit being here but you talk about players who have come to play under Robins. its not like he's taken over and the players have decided they don't like the new bloke.

Add in that whenever any of our players, including the new signings, speak they go above and beyond in praise for how welcome they feel, how easy it is to settle in, how the staff go out of their way, how welcoming the players are etc it just doesn't give any hint of 'lost the dressing room' whatever that means.

Something is obviously wrong but I don't think as a group of players who looked at the success Robins has had, both with the team and developing players, and could see the style of play we use have decided this season to collectively go fuck that guy, lets force him out.

The people who will be recruiting our next manager are the same people who we keep being told have been absolutely clueless when it comes to identifying potential players and coaching staff.

Yeah, that is a completely fair point, and concerning one at that

He'll know when it's time to walk away for sure. He's been here for a long time now and I'm sure if he feels he's reached a brick wall he'll step away. That said , he's had to overcome massive setbacks before and has come through.

Would anybody have faith in the Head of Performance recruiting a new manager?

All very well Robins saying the players lack confidence when he is chopping and changing this team like a watermelon. Imagine against Swansea he kept the same team as against Spurs but dropped Wilson. Wilson must have thought fuck this as the outfield stayed the same. Then today he drops Dovin and fuck this Wilson is back in! Now Dovin is thinking what the fuck!

The performance director is responsible for the long term strategy in developing our players.

it’s her job to look into what our players need to succeed and develop.

There's plenty of stuff online that you can have a read of. She's not responsible for what the team that's picked, tactics, coaching, lack of team spirit etc.

Or has he been undermined?
Not saying he has, just wondering if there is a connection between the set up changes and the poor start

“He’ll walk before he is pushed” Jesus some people have no idea how contracts work do they

whether people like it or not Doug has invested a lot, especially in the players. If it’s not working the obvious change is the manager.

it was MR & AV that got us from league 2 to a penalty shootout away from the prem. AV is gone. MR will be gone if we do not win 1 of the next 2.

I’ve felt during his entire tenure that he has weakness around tactics and specifically plan B. It’s extremely evident now.

12 points from 48 since the wolves game. Relegation fodder if he remains in charge and he continues with this passive style of play.

I’m not letting Doug off the hook btw … his model is very clearly also flawed and is rightly being questioned but the buck stops with him and he will continue to try that model with someone else I believe.

There really should be someone running the club in those areas who actually understands and has experience in the game.

I think we all respect what Robins has done. Everyone wants him to succeed. The ultimate question is how long can the poor performances and lack of points go on? Give him 2 games? Give him until Christmas? Give him the season? At what point is enough enough? At the moment it isn't fun watching the performances on the pitch. What has changed? Are the players up in arms over Adi? Is there a coach they don't like? Something or someone is affecting them, it needs to change and fast

I hear things 4th/5th hand so take it with a pinch is salt …

new players didn’t like adi and that style of old school coaching. now adding my opinion to that …

the players have got what they wanted and have now had a bit of a power/ego trip. I don’t think Robins is the big problem here (despite my dislike of the tactics, passive style of play and no plan B).

Ultimately when you’ve paid what we have for the players you’ll bring anyone in who may pamper to their needs more and if that means a new manager then I think that is what Doug will do.

If that was the case, and I'm not sure it is, (better days alluded to a break down in the relationship between Robins and Viveash), but if it was the case then it should have been the players out the door, not Viveash

People often get promoted above their level of competence, maybe the growth of the club is beyond Robins comfort zone now?...I was a bit concerned reading an interview by Robins re the new coaching setup that John Dempster is now the forward coach (and tbh thought wtf).... it's a huge jump from a cat B academy under 21 coach to a championship first team coach.

I completely agree with the sentiment although what should, and what necessarily happens are completely different. Especially when we are ultimately talking about a business writing off their investments.

Same. It's very sad. I'm desperate for him to do well.

Even if we lose the next two, sacking Robins will be more divisive thananything Doug has ever done.

If you think the fan base has been divided before, you've not seen anything yet. It will turn the club, the fanbase and the city upside down.
