Absolutely spot onPeople can throw around numbers if they like but the reality is that I didn't think we were going to compete at the top this season because we bought Binks, some guy that got relegated with Huddersfield, some guy with a few goals for Peterborough, etc, etc... I, and I think most other people, thought we would compete at the top because of Robins.
If Robins had left over the summer and we'd appointed any of the names I've seen thrown around of late, yeah I would still hope for top 6 and maybe it would have clicked for him. But in all my years as a fan Robins is the only manager that has achieved anything of note and our expectations are linked to him. We believe we can compete with teams with far bigger budgets because - Robins.
We are going through a bad patch at the moment but our current manager is pretty much the only man I would back to turn it around. Sack him and get the next appointment wrong - the glory days are over. The money is gone, the fans drift away and we are all looking over our shoulder once more.
The second half at Preston was where we switched from wing backs to 4 at the back. Obviously wasn't a good result but a better performance, I think the Millwall game was the following one?What was the turning point after our poor start last season, more or less same squad ? Yes , the way and recent regularity of how we concede at home since McFadz left is alarming.I'm not Robins out (yet) but it's so frustrating seeing our tactics not evolve and our best squad in decades looking like they have no idea how they're meant to press and play.
He deserves time to turn things around this season. But if we get to the end of the season still in the bottom half and still being cut apart by any team who can string 5 passes together then we need to move on.

The more I think about our current situation the more I think that Robins deserves the rest of the season (provided he wants it and we’re not genuinely in a relegation battle) and if we don’t finish fighting around the play-offs area of the table then maybe it’s just time to move on from Robins.
So much has changed since we got promoted from league 1, something’s clearly not right behind the scenes and I think the lack of play style and adaptability maybe means Robins has took us as far as he can. I don’t say that with ease but we’ve genuinely been lacking in all areas for so long I just think how many seasons are we going to waste just trying the same thing with the same manager over and over again?
Maybe things will turn around but if by the end of the season we’re scrapping for 14th place then maybe a new manager is what we’ll need

I think he’s taken us as far as he can but I’m not certain, hence why I’d be willing to give him more time and not write him off after a handful of games. Let’s say we gave him until Christmas and then he was sacked, what are we going to do with the remaining half of the season? Are we going to get promoted? Highly unlikely if Robins has been sacked due to poor results, so I don’t see the point in sacking Robins prematurely.
Either this season picks up very rapidly and we stick with Robins or we get a new manager at some point and start fresh next season.

But not with fatigued players, I get the feeling the games gone as we remember things.you‘d think we’re getting battered 4-0 every week, with the same defence as last season we were always going to leak a few goals, we’ve missed some absolute sitters in a few games, Norwich Watford and spurs should have been game over at half time, that’s not robins fault, need to start finishing better, that’s all
Someone asked me Saturday what our playing style was, I’m not sure, I’d of said start of the season with all the players with a bit of pace we’ve brought, exciting counter attacking, I don’t think we’re either ATM ?But not with fatigued players, I get the feeling the games gone as we remember things.
To something more akin to the law of averages,where we get a more average display populated by moment's of excitement but not necessarily brilliance!
Spot on.Robins needs to override all these new coaches and get back to being the man in charge and laying down the law.
Surely the performance director should take responsibility for poor performances and the sleep coach has got them taking afternoon naps, which is why we don’t wake up and start playing until halftime ( maybe )
