Attendance figures at St Andrews seem to be growing albeit slowly but the fans present are creating such a great atmosphere its hard to tell the difference between this & last season. The camaraderie among the Sky Blue supporters is better than I've known it since we last played at Highfield Road and Im not missing the Ricoh one iota.
The team are playing with a confidence & swagger that belies League One and its no surprise that we are at the top end of the table.
This group of lads have earned and deserve our support and I would say to those who have not yet made the leap that you should get yourself up to watch this wonderful footballing team - they are a delight to watch right now.
Ive always believed that you support your family and in my opinion its not much different when supporting your football team - support them through thick & thin regardless as we all make mistakes. From the top down they need our support.
My advice is try the trip to St Andrews and see for yourself - Im sure you will not regret it when that old football feeling starts flowing through your veins again.
For those who still remain adamant that they dont want to go to Birmingham, watch the Tranmere game on TV and try the odd away game and Im sure you will appreciate the effort and desire that the team, management and fans are putting into this season. Who knows you might get hooked again!

Some top notch camaraderie yesterday with 2 fans trading blows over a disputed seat, a lot of pay on the day fans decided they didn't want to be in the Tilton corner and made their way up the other end near the away fans, for the most part you're correct but that is the second incident like this in the last 2 games, surely if you want to be in a certain part of the ground you should just buy a ticket in advance.

So what's wrong with that? I thought Kristy Wright and Melissa George were attractive.

The stay away people don’t go to the Ricoh every week anyway! Just another excuse to use.
Plus the boo boys are missing and if we didn’t go there wouldn’t be a team to come back to the Wasps arena.
Think about it ........

Always said I'd never go but was back in the area and wanted to treat my dad to a day out. Have to say atmosphere was streets ahead of your average match at the Ricoh. I'll probably go another 2/3 games this season.

Have to say the match day experience is much better than the Ricoh.
  • £2.50 for a fried chicken burger meal on Coventry Road.
  • Free parking close by.
  • Short walk to pub by the ground.
  • Even shorter walk to ground.
  • Nice old ground, in run down urban sprawl, reminds me a bit of HR.
  • Great pitch, fantastic playing surface = great football, suits our style.
  • 1000 x better than playing on that churned up rugby pitch.
  • Nice tight ground, pretty good atmosphere so far.
  • We never lose.
  • Short walk and back to the car,
  • Straight on the A45, no messing.
  • Back home in quicker time than the Ricoh hog.
  • Happy days

Yes but it’s not the soulless stadium in the back of beyond where we are made to feel like second class people, not a boozer in sight and treated like thugs by stewards.
It’s OK tho as it is in Kov brother .
Absolute bull I went on the bus from White street and it was full of people over 64 years of age who have been going for more years than any of us but not a word of Sisu or Council as they follow the team not puppets or clowns making a statement when it suits.
Don’t go and see your mother as she is in an old people’s home that stinks of piss and death as you don’t like the place.
She has no choice, we have no choice but get on your high horse and say it’s not the same as her being at home where she is wetting herself in the home you grew up in.
I’m out on pathetic people who say I’m not going because ...it’s a fooking football team nothing else but you hear the same old shyte about not going etc.
Apologies for sounding like a broken record.

Well I went to my first game at SA yesterday.
It took over an hour to get there then 20 minute walk along Coventry road past staring and homeless people.
Once in the ground got to my seat and had to spend the whole game listening to some twat moaning for the whole game, as for the atmosphere I thought it was pretty flat for most of the game Skyblue song sang 3 times and that was about it.
Stewards seemed lost just look at the way they handled the pitch invader.
Overall not the experience I expected will give it one more try but wont hold my breath.

Mind you the Balti pies were nice.

No different to at the Ricoh. We have been behind in the last few games and there have been plenty of people moaning around where we sit. Every game, despite the fact that it is obviously the way we are going to play and that we have done well from it, there are moans about playing it out from the back. 'Just boot it' was the classic shouted at Marosi yesterday.
This idea that St Andrews is a place of supportive harmony is a myth. It is no different than the Ricoh. The idea that we have left all of the boo boys behind is not true. The fact is we have won all games in Birmingham bar one and are still unbeaten. Dispite that, we still have clueless 'fans' shouting the usual rubbish. Last season's home record wasn't great. I heard no more cat calling then than I am hearing now in an almost perfect run of results.

It was also my first game yesterday, and I agree with you about the atmosphere, I didn't think it was the best, up until we were pressing for the equaliser and beyond.

I was going to drive there, but decided to get the X1 bus from Parkhill estate at the last minute, £4 for a day saver is great value.

You must have been to a different game to me
I drove for over 2 hours and arrived near the ground at 2.45pm. Parked 5 minutes away and was in my seat before kick off.
Thought the atmosphere was great
Thought the stewards did a great job on the twat who ran on the pitch. What could they have done differently ?
Cannot comment on the balti pie as didn't have one.

I do not agree with reasons we are playing at Birmingham. ( never went to Northampton either )
My dad died hating Sisu for what they did to his club ( season ticket holder from early sixties to the day they went to Northampton )
I also know a solicitor involved in Ricoh negotiations who like everyone else involved was amazed when the SISU pricks pulled out.
If you feel you need to go to St Andrews then crack on but the more that go the longer it will take us to to return to Coventry.
Thus fuck SISU - away days only
