It has been announced that commemorative badges have been produced in order to clarify which fans were actually in attendance at last night's Brighton game and to make it a lot easier for the club to issue EFL Trophy cup final tickets.

It will also avoid any false ticket entitlement claims in the clamour for Wembley.

The attendance last night was 2,085.

A batch of 25,500 'I was there' badges have been produced.

I was there on a cold winter evening, hope I get preferential treatment for Wembley tickets. Wouldn't want to miss out on that would I?

oh btw... SISU should be praised for what they have done assembling a team capable of winning trophy's & Fisher should get a knighthood.
and if we win the Trophy we should knock down the statue of Jimmy Hill and replace with one of Joy Seppala.

Or at least the compromise of Joy Seppala, but with Jimmy Hill's beard.

Why even mention SISU? Coventry City won a game of football last night and are through to the 1/4 final. It's a rare chance to feel quite pleased about being a Cov fan. Don't let hatred of our owners spoil that.

What a bitter post.

How about just stick to Wasps, we have already seen how your NOPM disappears after a few wins.

When is the final anyway ? I think people are over estimating the attraction of this paltry rubbish. Fair play to the 2085 last night though, they are very supportive hardy souls under the current circumstances.

Is it a badge ? Looks like it could play at 45rpm. Could be worth a few bob in a few years.

That's the trouble with this binary opposition between superfans and the glory-hunting 'most fickle fans in the country' in that anyone who hasn't so far attended a Checkatrade match is automatically publicly shamed.

Having spent around £700 on season tickets and car park passes I have to date felt disinclined to fork out for additional matches against uninspiring opposition in an almost deserted stadium. I didn't fancy it. When it becomes a fairly meaningful match with a half-decent atmospher such as a semi or quarter final I may well decide it is worth attending.

So it's a fair cop and you've got me bang to rights, and no mistake. I'm a glory hunter lying in wait for some glory.

It wasn't bitter, mocking maybe, it's only a tin pot competition.

Mind you if my maths is correct its earned SISU £90K so far & if CCFC win it, SISU can transfer to their bank in the Cayman Islands a total of £290K. + any associated earnings.

Prize Money
Group Stages £10,000 per win & £5,000 per draw
Round Two £20,000 per win
Round Three £40,000 per win
Round Four £50,000 per win
Runners Up £50,000
Winners £100,000

SISU must be rubbing their hands with glee

It will have earned CCFC that wouldn't it?

Strange how you come on just to mock the football club and get a hard on for Wasps. Unless we win a few games and you forget about your NOPM again.

Still not really arsed about the trophy. Love a match with a good atmosphere though so if the numbers look good for the next game might get amongst it

Putting your own spin on it again. I wasn't mocking the football club, I was mocking the competition & those that get excited over it.

"hard on for Wasps" what are you 14 years old. Childish statement.

I don't practice NOPM, I'm just abstaining from games until SISU have gone.

I do admit I did get caught up in the publicity when they came back to the Ricoh & went to 2 or 3 games. I then realised nothing had really changed and stopped going again.

I won't go back now until SISU have gone.

Not really, just an observation you seem to be straight in if anybody bad mouthes Wasps. The other day when Hill didn't know they were playing.

Any word on how the prize money isn't going to CCFC?

I looked on one club's site and the estimated income for everything, including prize money and merchandising etc. For winning the thing is £400,000.

That is not to b sniffed at.

Yep, that's the same site my figures came from, I think that takes into account additional earning like gates receipts etc.

But who would get the money Russell Slade?

The Hill incident you refer to went like this:

HILL83 SAID: What was happening up there today? (Which I took as sarcasm, because even if you didn't know they were playing, anybody with a brain could of worked it out with the first two posts)
PEELER SAID: head in sand & hope they go away hill83?

So how are you coming to the conclusion, I'm jumping at people when they bad mouth Wasps?

Why would you take it as sarcasm? You thought he was being sarcastic about Wasps so jumped in.
