Lets get this into perspective.
Going into this game Walsall are the in-form team. Their record this year is superb.
Skyblue fans who think these "Tin-pot" teams are going to roll-over for us every week need to get a grip...or be prepared for regular disappointment.
Those moaning about Pressley - think about it...would you rather win at home than away more often...& attract bigger crowds & more spending power?

It's embarrassing whenever our fans describe anyone else in the same division as 'tin pot', as if we just happened upon the third tier by falling down a well.

Exactly...Walsall & the other "Tin-pot" clubs have every bit the same right as us to be in L1. And since it looks most likely that we'll be there for at least another season - they had best get used to it, however embarrassed they feel & however much it hurts!!!

I agree that as a team we are where we deserve to be, and in which case are no better than anyone else in this league. CCFC the team are league 1, however I would suggest the stature of our club is championship at least so I cant sort of understand the frustations of some.

Thing is that we shouldn't be embarrassed losing to these teams. It suggests a huge chip on the shoulder, arrogance & ignorance. We are where we are, we are who we are & we just have to be level headed & get to a better place as soon as we can.

I wouldn't bank on that...current squad not enough strength in depth, transfer embargo, no money :-/

What are you saying Walsall (who are storming up the form tables) aren't very good, so we are a joke?
If you mean the stuff off-field...that can happen to any club that's had supposed "major investors"

Some of us are prepared for it but some still seem to expect to walk all over everyone in this league - as at the seasons start...it came across as if there was only Sheff Utd & ourselves in it for promotion...a few others seemed to think Swindon, Tranmere & Doncaster might pose a bit of an outside challenge too.
Now reality bites

Walsall are doing great, fair play to them. Regarding the tin pot comments (not sure who actually said them) you are only as good as your league position and recent performances. I think people need to concentrate on their own club and don't worry about our opponents!

The "Tin-pot" refers to the JPT in the early rounds...& the manner some of the other posters refer to opposing teams. Do a search of the threads & I'm sure there will be lots of them. Largely disparaging references made a lot of the time suggests that's the view of many on the forum. We are a big club (Premiership standing) & a Championship team...but we just happen to be in a tinpot league is the impression it suggests to me...but we are where we are

ah fair enough, like I said I think people should worry about our own club rather than other clubs!!!
