I believe they pick and choose when to perform. Whenever there’s nothing at stake, or nothing’s expected, they produce the best football they’ve produced in their time here.

It’s hard not to intensely dislike some of them.

Trouble is now, there's no Kelly or Fadz, (or even Adi) in the dressing room to help them through it.
They look totally rudderless.
There's probably several players with their mentality in most changing rooms, but there's probably half a dozen others who can cajole and lift them. We don't look to have anyone like that.

You are watching us right? You're watching Robins piss about with the line up/formation every week with no obvious plan. And what's the game plan exactly because I'll be fucked if I know.
I think its very weak when people suggest there's no one out there that could get better from this group.
End of the day I just want us to stay up now which is an extremely low bar, but sadly I think Robins takes us down.

So you agree with the way a winning formula has been ripped up then?
As for last season, You do realise the things I've mentioned were in place last season and now they're not.

Cup run last year went to their heads. Being in the limelight they all thought they were billy big balls. They aren't interested in autumn nights away at QPR anymore.
Evidenced by them playing out of their skin against Spurs

We don’t make that one howler and we win.

I genuinely don’t understand what people were looking for tonight, a great performance was highly unlikely to happen.

an error strewn nervy match was always the likeliest outcome and that’s exactly what happened.

Nothing has changed for me, apart from it’s a point which might help a bit with the confidence, and onto the next one, where I hope to god the atmosphere doesn’t turn toxic if we’re nervy and low on confidence again.

It's clear what he's trying to do and it seems, listening to the ITKs that he doesn't want to go down the loan or veteran route.
If that's incorrect then what is the reason we have neither in our squad? Because its absolutely fucked us.

Just excuses for poor management at this point tbh. You can pick at things one by one anyway, like did Doug block Robins bringing in experience? Wheres the proof? If @Saddlebrains is to be believed we were close to signing Alan Browne and Robins pulled away to sign Stamenic.

You are not going to get a great performance all of a sudden from a team lacking in confidence without an away win for 7 months.

The second half was reasonable. It should have been enough to win but for a goalkeeping mistake.

And it pains me to say I’m falling down on the ‘manager’ side at present. I really believe this is a good squad of players being mishandled. I hope something clicks and we can forget this episode ever happened but I don’t think it’ll play out that way.

I can't prove it, but he used experienced players for 7 years and now he's got none.

Used loans for 7 years now there's none.

We produce a half decent game we go 2 or 3 up and one howler makes no difference to the result. I’m sorry, we saw this with Southgate’s England all summer and people got blinded by results there too.

We have had a very generous fixture list for 11 games and can’t manage a point a game. Decent teams will ruin this side.

Looking at the fixtures after Luton it really doesn't look good if we don't win on Saturday, can't see him lasting past November right now if we fail to get 6 points from Luton and Derby matches.

I mean we could get points from the other games but realistically Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Sheffield Utd and Burnley I'd be amazed if we get more than 3 points and would only expect around 1 point.

If we only pick up a point against Luton and pick up the 3 v Derby you are looking at 5-7 points from the next 6 fixtures.

Be looking at 17 games with 14-16 points and it's hard to see how it carries on.

Great no, but better than what we served up. We took the lead early on then reverted to type instead of going for another.

When your defence and goalkeeper are as bad as ours, grinding out 1-0s is riskier than trying to put the game away.

His assistant was fired for gross misconduct wasn't he? I'm sure Robins had some say in the new coaching setup, would be odd if he didn't.

And away from all that, again, he's just been totally bizarre this season. I know you don't really rate how he's approached a lot of matches this season but people are afraid to go further into it because it's Robins.

Agree. It reeked of tension which transmitted into an incredibly poor quality of game. We’re tense and tight and lacking leadership and experience. For me it’s now time to pick on personality. Which means starters have to include Bassette, Wilson (when fit), Kitching and Bidwell. The only crumbs of leadership we have.

not the same is it, Southgate had all kinds of exceptional talent at his disposal high on confidence, it was much clearer to identify his coaching as the issue. Totally different scenarios.

Still not the same though is it- you’re comparing a group of players who even with Southgate’s approach got to two finals & who arguably are up there with the most talented groups in world football.

Adi was fired but should have been replaced.

I'm not against the new coaching system, but you don't just rip up what's brought you success, you introduce new methods gradually.

We've made major changes all in one go and it's showing.
I can't think of another team with a structure
and a lop sided squad like ours.
Think it was FP said Sunderland were similar last year and were awful, have now added a bit of experience and are flying.

QPR finished one place outside the relegation zone last season, they have failed to win at home this season. We scraped a point against a side that lost to the team at the bottom of the Championship last Saturday. Robins was right about managing expectations. Grim.

I only saw the second half. I didn't think we were that bad. Certainly should have won. Just some bad decision making and I didn't see the performance as shit, just saw a team low on confidence, which is natural.

Simms fluffed his lines twice, which was really annoying.

We should have won.

I would fancy our chances against Luton on Saturday, but losing Eccles could be a big blow. Any news on how he is?
