Timely reminder.

Do any of the older supporters remember our promotion year into the old Second Division. With only a few games to go City were top of the league by a clear nine points, then came a slump. The last game of the season arrived, against Colchester, we were now in third place behind Crystal Palace and Oldham. Both Palace and Oldham lost and with us beating Colchester 1-0 we were promoted and as Champions.

If I remember correctly, we took 12000 to Peterborough for a night match just before our slump started, I was there, we lost 2-0 I think!!

Yeah fair play definitely should not take anything for granted. 3 game losing streak would change things massively if another team takes advantage

Jim Brown covered this season in his latest podcast. I think the collapse started earlier than you remember with the recovery coming in the last few games.

The slump in the season started in early January when we did not win a match until late March.
Stats:
upto Jan 3
Played 27, Won 18, Draw 6 Lost 3
After Jan 3
Played 19, Won 4 Draw 10, Lost 5

so the equivalent of 82 points off 46 games

if it were that low this year, we would need 35 points from 25 games ( 1.4ppg which would put you around 8th-10th across a full season)

We conceded 24 goals in the 11 games from 1st Jan to 28th March, that's equivalent to 100 goals in a current season.
